Hey there! Welcome to the twentieth episode of Théa’s Tea, where I begin with my tea talk, weekly update and current favourites! Today I dive into feminism, and how I live it on a day to day basis. To start, I mention my EF speech, which relates to this topic, mention why I feel the need to cover feminism, introduce my message for today: lifting other girls up, clarify that what I share can be applied to everybody, but with a focus on gender equality, and state that I hope this conversation is as if I were your big sister! Then, I share my opinion on girls hating on girls; I highlight negative tendencies we tend to display, emphasise that as we face inequality, we must build a strong front and remind you that positive deeds create a ripple effect. Afterward, I discuss the quote “a girl who is doing the same thing as you is not your competition, she’s your sister”; where I explain how this transformed me, the importance in my role models inspiring me to adopt this attitude, explain my journey and growth and reiterate that this can be applied to all genders. Also, I share the message that we shouldn’t be afraid to reach out; showing that I used to be very shy, and how I was able to grow from that to where I am today and remind you not to hesitate! To wrap up, I reiterate a few main points from the episode.
