"Borrowed Nostalgia" is a thing. Gen Z is feeling swamped and disconnected in the digital age and many of them are nostalgic for the "simpler" times of the 1990's-early 2000's TV music, TV shows and devices. However, they did not actually experience these things for themselves so they have to live vicariously through Spotify, Netflix, etc. These kids today!
