Welcome to ANOTHER episode of Wisdom with Jon Deitz! This week, our friend Jon dives into friendships, discipline, and motivation.   Our lessons for the week include:   1. Don't count the days, make the days count. 2. If you can live with it, I can live without it. 3. Surrounded by strangers I thought were my friends.   Remember, this is meant to make you THINK and approach things from angles that you may have not previously seen. In this episode, Jon sits down and interviews Coach Jim Tressel. They talk about Jim's family, his sporting career, and then becoming a coach. They also talk about family pets including Jim's pet alligator. As a child, Jim was an entrepreneur. He started selling soda to then later became a paperboy for 8-years. Jim dives into his college football career being coached by his father. They discuss his journey of picking Akron for graduate school. His father helped guide him to make that choice. They reminisce about Jim's coaching career and then dive even deeper into the next chapter of his life at Youngstown State.   Tressel said his three favorite things to do in his spare time: to read, exercise and to enjoy a good cigar. In this podcast episode, Jon interviews Ron Blackledge. They dive into Ron's life and his sports career. It all began for Ron Blackledge from a humble beginning of being born and raised in his aunt's garage with four siblings. Moving from a garage to just a dirt floor basement.  They talk about his early journies in sports. He didn't start playing football until his sophomore year. His one sister forged his consent form so he could play. His journey then took him to Bowling Green State University where he played football and baseball. He got married between his junior and senior years at Bowling Green.  He then coached at Canton South for three years followed by coaching at other local high schools for seven years. In the next phase of his life, he coached at five colleges for 14 years and finally, he coached in the NFL for 16 years.  "Ron Blackledge, What can I say, RB is a Family Man!!
