Bishop Barron is one of the smartest guys in the room, no matter whether you agree with him or not. His perspectives are fresh and intellectually grounded. I always enjoy listening to this podcast.

I can’t thank enough my priest friend Federico Pinto who recommended me to follow Bishop Barron. Every time I’m driving I’m listening to this podcast and learning about complex subjects which I can understand better thanks to WOF.

Every Word on Fire show I have ever watched has always enlightened me to new or forgotten principles and values. I am grateful for Brandon Vogt’s thought provoking questions and of course for Bishop Barton’s succinct, profound responses. Blessings to each of you for all the time and effort you put into each episode.

Gotta love Bishop Baron!

I've been bingeing on this for about a year and love it. It's smart and intellectually engaging and it has deepened and broadened my faith life. Most things struggle to go both deep AND wide at the same time but Bishop Barron & Branodn manage to every week. I guess Karl Barth was right about that "damnable catholic And".

I love Flannery and hoped to hear more basics about the movie but Ethan was killing me. Did not stop talking....kept cutting people off...maybe less coffee next time Ethan

Great concept to review rock books…entertaining, good perspectives on the books themselves. being time constrained I don’t necessarily have the time to read all these books but it’s great to get the gist of all of them and learn some interesting facts.

I’ve listened to the Beauty of Hope talk 3 times. So good!!

Bishop Barron and Brendan Vogt are a great combination and Bishop Barron’s insight into human nature, theology, philosophy and life itself are incredibly helpful in reorienting your life to the highest values and ultimate good. I highly recommend the Word on Fire Show. This has helped reignite my intellectual love of Catholicism and at the same time brought me back to the love and peace of the Spirit. This podcast puts to bed the incorrect notion that religion, and Catholicism in particular, is refuted by high functioning intellect and science. On the contrary, this podcast regularly shows they go hand-in-hand. It speaks truth.

I can’t get enough of the insightful conversations between Bishop Barron and Brandon Vogt. Always looking forward to the new episode. I’ve learned so much about the roots of the Catholic faith and the knowledge I gained has deepened my faith and walk with Jesus. Thank you Bishop Barron for being the light in this world.

To get an idea of Bishop Barron’s intellect, humor, and style of evangelism, listen to WOF 380. He’s such a gem! This is definitely a podcast you need in your queue.

I have been a regular listener, and fan of this show for several years. Sometimes I get lost in the scholarly arguments and distinctions, but I find the pursuit of understanding very rewarding. The Peter Kreeft lecture series, just released on your website, has been a remarkable gift in this regard. An introduction to a few philosophical ideas is exactly what I needed. Thank you!

When I hear Bishop Barron, I feel like I’m listening to a dear friend, a beloved tutor or the like. His knowledge of scripture, Church teaching, history, art, you name it, is really quite astounding. I always, always learn something when I listen to him and never fail to feel how much God loves me and is rooting for me all the way. Thank you for this show and thank you Bishop Barron for your yes to the priesthood.

Bishop Barron has a beautiful way of responding to what could be very complex questions by using relatable examples to drive the point home, and he does this in a way that makes you feel like you’re having a conversation with a best friend. It is clear that the Holy Spirit is working through this podcast.

Where do I begin? Going back? I see it as returning to the basics. The Catholic Church has exerted incredible control and continues to do so. Confess to a middle aged, non married man with no real life experiences? No thank you. It makes NO sense now, nor when I was a teen and up for ‘Confirmation’. Thankfully my devout Catholic mother was too tired Ya in to push it. I have heard Gods voice. Very clearly. Many times. What say you about my experiences? It’s to be dismissed bc the Catholic Church wasn’t involved? I’ll keep listening. For now. Out of curiosity. But I WILL tell you doubt about the Church is at an ALL time HIGH. Many of us devoted to our Lord and Savior are absolutely looking outside the Catholic Church. Bc it’s message does not reflect the Word of God. I think you impress many ‘intellectual’ Christian’s. I am not convinced of your authenticity in terms of congruity with Gods Word. You sound very smart and learned. BUT… I personally do not feel your faith. Maybe I’m wrong. I’ll keep listening out of curiosity. For now.

I enjoyed this episode! I’m thankful that Bishop Barron and his staff produce relevant shows. We have three grown sons, two of whom have precious wives and are blessed with children. I just listened to the episode about the case for kids. It is affirming what God is speaking to my heart about honestly examining the reasons why my husband and I are not currently seeking to have children. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner holy spirit of truth, show us the way, Father your will be done

Bishop Barron and host Brandon Vogt do an excellent job of covering topics relevant to Christians in general and Catholics in particular. Their conversations avoid sensationalism and always point back to God’s loving pursuit of us (and our response thereto). As a listener, you can pick and choose the episodes that you find most relevant; there’s no need to worry about the sequence in most cases. It’s like watching ‘Seinfeld,’ where you can drop in at any point in the series and still have a good viewing (or in this case, listening) experience. God Bless and happy listening!

This show and all the content of wordonfire.org has helped to deepen my relationship with the Lord. Bishop Barron explains everything so clearly and rationally. I love his Sunday homilies and I often pray with him on YouTube and the Hallow App. I’ve also taken several courses on the Word on Fire Institute website. The Lord said to St. Francis of Assisi, “Francis, go rebuild my church, which as you see, is falling down.” Bishop Barron and Word on Fire is doing just that.

Great podcast that always treats topics with the respect they deserve. Not a sound bite, but a deep dive into the subject. I always enjoy listening.

The WOF podcast is a serious discussion of faith, reason, and our culture from people who have the depth of study and intellectual ability to have a meaningful, informative, and often challenging conversation about big, important, external questions and things.

I really enjoy hearing Bishop Barron describe our religion and he doesn’t like no one else can. I highly recommend.

I so enjoy this podcast, Bishop Barron really inspires me with his explanation of our Faith and I find my time listening to certain interviews over and over, and marvel how Christ is revealed to me through his talks, thank you

The Word on Fire Show definitely offers great clarity to the issues of truth. I admit that our societal norms really can confuse myself and my family. Bishop Barron and his staff always offer a way of seeing our life as an opportunity to respect the dignity of life by understanding the sacraments, living them and how to focus on God with the gifts and grace he has given us.

I am in the process of reverting to my Catholic faith and Bishop Robert Barron has had no small part in that especially his Catholicism series which I highly recommend. But listening to the issues and topics you explore has helped me adjust my philosophical outlook to a more Christ-ordered view.

This show does a great job examining the culture and teaching Christian principles through the lens of Christ and the orthodox teachings of His Church.

Bishop Barton’s ability to succinctly and clearly summarize and explain Catholic and Christian doctrine, faith, and tenets is absolutely critical to the propagation of Christianity in our modern world. We Christians need more shows like this one and more leaders like Bishop Barron.

I have been a Catholic since 2019. Bishop Barron has always been an insightful guide, especially throughout my conversion. It’s so helpful to have a figure to look to for Catholic teaching or at the very least focus my mind toward my faith.
