I am a hiker an a naturalist supporter. I live in suburban Birmingham, Al. I can walk into the woods east of my house and hike for miles. My favorite hikes are in the Sipsey Wilderness, however, I will take an urban or suburban hike if I don't have time to travel to a favorite spot.

Just a little relaxation before settling in for the evening.

Sitting on the Front Porch

Two sections of interstate are within earshot of my house.  This is all I can hear this morning. Peaceful yet eerie.
