Today Emily chats with the hosts of The Unqualified Therapist Podcast, Amy Baumgardner & Sarah Simone.
These women have been through some shit. They may not have the qualifications, but they’ve been on this healing journey with their own therapists for more years than they can count. They are smart, funny, and uncensored disruptors who are lighting up the dark corners of life.
“We’re breaking the stigma around the things that are usually hush hush,” they say. The two women offer knowledge, solidarity, and tools to move forward through your (or your loved ones) mental health struggles. They aim to take their listeners from surviving to thriving.
Their goal is to share honest and authentic stories in order to normalize and prioritize mental health. While things can get kind of heavy, they are sure to add some light hearted f*ckery because who can’t use a laugh nowadays?
The ladies open up to Emily and the listeners all about their mental health experiences. They shed some truth, provide a few tips to help you fight through and they shed some light on the importance of telling your truth and feeling your feelings.

In today's episode I chat with Elizabeth Gascoigne. Elizabeth is the founder of Absence of Proof, a brand that hosts pop up events around NYC that do not serve alcohol.
Elizabeth has been sober curious off and on throughout her entire adult life and she has consistently been disappointed with the non-alcohol focused nightlife options in NYC. So she decided to create a space where people feel welcome - whether they're sober, sober curious, or just want a night off of drinking without a night off of fun.
Elizabeth tells us about the creative process and inspiration behind Absence of Proof & she shares some insight into how she personally feels about the culture and stigmas surrounding being a N/A individual. We also discuss why it's so important for her mental health and over well-being to continue to normalize and promote how living an alcohol free life isn't boring, it's cool and fun!
