Bobby, Jamie, and Kevin seriously had good intentions on starting with an Islay spirit, but we had ribs cooking, and some street corn going, and a questionable charcuterie tray that smelled awfully of offal. We celebrated our fragrant find with our good friend Landon. Having procured a bottle of the goodest, most tastiest and expensiviest version of Johnnie Walker, we decided that there is really no better way to enjoy it than with good friends. Failing that, we drank it anyway and pondered our life choices that led us here. More foolishness followed, but we wisely opted to not record that. We did, and we looked like idiots. Dried beef makes its return as we enjoy a charcuterie tray . We sample Spice Tree by Compass Box, a blended malt. I finally figured out the difference between "blended scotch" and "blended malt", but was distracted by the pickled okra and bleu cheese. We had a couple of ounces of Johnnie Walker Black Label beforehand, you know, for science.
