I love Lyssa and Neptune’s chemistry and relationship to each other. I find myself laughing and smiling along with these two and I’m loving the balance of reptile content and other topics! Seriously thinking about planning a trip to a reptile expo just to meet them 🥹😭

First time listener. Love having a reptile podcast led by 2 ladies. I don’t own any reptiles (amphibian owner) but love the information and realness of owning exotic animals. This is a largely male dominated space so this is a lovely change. Its needed.

Little tangent here: In middle school I became obsessed with reptiles. Constantly watching videos and doing research. I was so happy when I got my first crested gecko. My family and friends, coming from kindness, just didn’t understand the love I felt for these animals. I wasn’t necessarily judged in anyway but not encouraged. So, I stopped researching and watching videos. Anyways fast forward to now, this podcast has nearly single handedly reignited my love for reptiles. It is so entertaining while talking about very important reptile topics. I love it so much I now follow all of the content from both of the creators of the podcast!!!! Thank you both so much for making me not feel alone in the reptile community.

I absolutely love this podcast and both of these ladies! I have always had a love for reptiles however I live in a pretty rural area so I don’t have any “reptile friends” but listening to these two is so fun and it always makes long drives that much better. They are a HUGE inspiration to me! Definitely recommend to any reptile girlie. (p.s. please come to NARBC St. Louis)

I would love to see a group in a sense rather it be a telegram or Facebook group to meet other keepers or to get input or answers to questions with u guys as moderators as well so we get well rounded sound advice

As someone who’s had reptile for all of my adult life. Being a female on the hobby can be super difficult to make friends or have a safe space to talk about some of the topics that not everyone is willing to talk about! Also, my niece just got into the hobby(10yr old) and long before I made her come up with a game plan from top to bottom. My brother used me as a ‘human guide’ to make sure she was getting the correct information. Hearing I wasn’t the only one who thought like this was so important was so validating! Love this podcast, highly recommend coming back every week!

Thank you for being one of the only podcast for women that enjoy reptiles. It is a blessing to listen to you guys. Talk about all of your experiences. Love love love it.

Love the podcast so far! The part where you talk about getting Hazel was so funny to me because it reminded me of my sister questioning me about if I was ready to take home the leopard gecko I got attached to at an expo!! I especially like that you guys also talk about lifespan commitment and about if you have the space for a reptile, a lot of people don’t consider that when getting a reptile and they definitely don’t when the reptile is gifted! Can’t wait for the next episode!

The Wild Type has brought back my love of podcasts. The topics are so relatable and they are super easy to listen to. I can’t wait for new episodes to come out! I turned on my notifications to make sure I never miss an episode.

To start, I adore Lyssa’s Lizards & Neptune The Chameleon! They both create amazing content, that’s educational & fun for the reptile community. I’m so excited to have a podcast to listen too that’s just for the ladies of the hobby! For a while now the community has been male dominant, but those days are long gone! Other podcasts are geared towards men & have mostly male guests, which is….meh. But now, the ladies are taking over & we have a lot to say! Listening to this podcast is like being in on a conversation with your closest friends that share the same hobbies & it’s just so fun to hear! My favorite part so far has been the discussion, of how people react when they find out you keep reptiles, especially as a female keeper. I always felt alone with this, but apparently I’m not which is so refreshing! I can’t wait for the next ones as the first three were so so good! Having this podcast to look forward to is such a treat!
