Grab yourself a cuppa because this one is a corker...
In this episode with the fabulous Danusia Malina Derben, Mum to ten children, global podcaster, author, and CEO we learn some cracking tips.
The big question we all wonder is How?
How has she managed all of this?
An adopted convent school girl, Danusia bucked the hopes and plans her parents had for her by becoming a mother at 17. She went on to have nine more children, built an incredible career in academia and then her own super successful consultancy firm.
In recent years Danusia has published two books while securing No One in the global charts for her podcast Parents Who Think (previously named School for Mothers), and now produces her daughters award winning podcast as well!
Danusia has managed all of this without the childcare or financial support of her parents. She has found a way to through with her partner and friends, and with some killer self belief and inner confidence in what she could achieve if she put her mind to it.
What we learn is...
- The power of community, when and how to lean into your network, be it your mum friends, family friends or your business community.
- That it takes a village, not only to bring up kids, but to survive and thrive as a parent and entrepreneur
- Danusia has tips including how/ when/ what to bulk buy, and how to work together with other families to get through
- How and when to take that leap of faith to leave a corporate position to pursue your own dreams
- How to work with your partner as a team to make it possible to have your own dreams and pursue your own goals
- Why we should "lean into our ovaries" have self belief and manage our inner dialogue. Having a "just do it attitude" is key to your success.
And so much more...
This is a rich, layered podcast and I know you'll take some fabulous learnings from this that you can implement in your own life.
