How to overcome people pleasing to never take No for an answer... Golden advice from Stacie Swift -
Really loved chatting to my lovely friend and insta colleague Stacie Swift in todays episode. Stacie is a mum of 3 and a very established illustrator and wellbeing advocate, who, by the way has amassed a following of over 270,000 fans on instagram. Having created a super successful line of greetings cards, wholesaling in recognisable venues like Paperchase and Scribbler, Stacie went on to create a family and to pursue new goals in freelance commissions, and became an author of two self help books and journals. Her story is inspirational. Stacie reminds us that we should never take no for an answer in business, that resilience and relentless graft, teamed with a tried and tested processes, yields fabulous results, when you give it time. She also shows us that you can pivot, even when business is doing really well, and that when family priorities change, it's ok to make brave changes in business. We also learn how showing your vulnerability and leaning into your own heartfelt and sometimes challenging life experiences can create enormous connection with your community and how this can lead to a whole new level of creativity and propel your business in the most unexpected ways. They always say that working in your area of passion is where you will succeed, and Stacies work resonates and connects so deeply with the audience that it no wonder she thrives in this space. Stacies illustrations have been shared across the globe virally time and time again. And while all this sounds amazing and glamorous, we also hear about the challenges faced in her journey, how its not always a bed of roses, how mental health takes its toll and why continually showing up for yourself from a self care and business perspective, will pay off. As mums of three kids, we also get valuable tips from Stacie about how to spend wisely, save money and yet still have a magical Christmas. It's a great listen, grab a cuppa and settle in. Loved this conversation and could have gone on for hours. Please visit Stacie at @stacieswift and https://www.stacieswift.com/ Her books are also here! Go see...
