The Whole Hard Truth
The Whole Hard Truth
DNVR
I’m setting out to create a special place and share it with the world. A space where we can talk about any and everything without identity politics pandering and virtue signaling sucking the real out of the room. I’m willing to gamble on our ability as humans to meet the adult challenge, and in doing so chart a more mature course in the way we agree and disagree.Even in times of tremendous collective angst and social unrest, individual radical truth is something we can all benefit from.Reconstructing my personal life in this fashion has been more than curative and revolutionary... it’s been revelationary (👈🏿 Not a real word... but effective... patent pending).Radical truth isn’t some new age concept either. It’s the foundation of effective therapy.Imagine that.Whole... complete in it’s entirety.Hard... not as in difficult, but concretized.Truth... undeniably vulnerable and imperceptibly indestructible.“The Whole Hard Truth” will be just that. Every conversation. Real people sharing real ideas, real stories, thoughts and realities that we might not always agree with but from which we all can learn. No spin. No bullshit. In this exercise we will find out that disagreement and difference is the least of our worry.Dehumanization is our only undoing.Truth, even the kind we don’t like to hear, is our greatest hope. The truth monopolizes itself. It’s like porn... you know it when you see it.Where fact fails, truth prevails. Contained within its design are the building blocks of life itself. What only the teller knows for sure... the listener and seeker can feel without doubt. No one person has the answer to society’s problems, but we all have the ability to be honest in sharing and receiving truth amongst one another with courage and strength, without condemnation. We’ll have fun, sometimes not so much, talk shit, laugh and cry about it. Rarely will all of life’s problems be fixed in an episode and yet... if we want to cure the world, we must first begin with ourselves. In this forum all are welcome and I truly hope that you’ll join in these conversations.
The Whole Hard Truth About Overcoming Fear & Doubt
Back at it like a Craftmatic, I’ve been in my creative bubble working. While I can with all sincerity offer that as legitimate reason for TWHT hiatus for the last 3 weeks there is another truth that exists within the same space. Quite honestly I was paralyzed by the fear of recording a podcast without a guest. Sounds nuts right? A cat such as I am... so opinionated and verbose... fearful of taking center stage alone. Well if you got 60 minutes... damn near to the second... I’ll explain fam.

The Whole Hard Truth About Getting Active With Young Activist
To be young is one thing, young and socially active another. So what's it like to be a young social activist in this era? Well you're about to find out. Elijah Judah, also known in the streets as Young Activist is one of the many voices calling for change in our communities. Leading with his faith, he might be a bit of a throwback in an era where religion is seen by some as regressive. Whether you agree with his spiritual beliefs or not, there's no questioning his love for his community, heart and hustle to be a part of changing things for the better. A warning to the easily offended, this is a big boy / girl pants conversation. A healthy exchange of differing opinions and ideas is always more than welcome and encouraged. A major topic that YA and I spoke on... sex work and the change in perspective of it in the modern era.

The Whole Hard Truth about being a Marvel Hero w/ June Carryl
The on demand world of streaming content just got hit with a dose of acting smack that will resonate for a while, and my big sis June Carryl is the dealer. You know her as Dr. Louise Hasting of HULU's Helstrom... I know her as Junemoon. To see her acting career rise has been a lesson in knock until they open... or... kick the door down and make yourself at home. And that's exactly what shel has done and how it feels like to watch her do her thing on the big screen. Take note future actors... this is a lesson you'll never forget

The Whole Hard Truth about working your ass off w/ MSNBC's Joy Reid
Some people work for it, others are born with it... and some people are a mixture of both. My sister Joy Reid is just that. Lomangelo's path to the pinnacle of political punditry is a brilliant example of what happens when hard work and innate talent are applied with persistence. As the haphazardous world of politics continues turn, we can all take heart in the courage and calm that Joy Reid exudes every night while breaking it down like only she can.

The Whole Hard Truth about Bitcoin. "Boom or Bust" w/ Brandon West
Bitcoin hit it's record high recently and isn't showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. Whether you're skeptical or bullish on the mega money market that crypto appears to be, the phenomenon is poppin off more than ass in a Cardi be video. With big players in the fiat financial space like PayPal and CashApp catching the wave it begs the question, is Cryptocurrency a financial fix, or a fool's gold destined to fail? As with all things new, it's best to ask a person who knows. So I did that. This is The Whole Hard Truth about Bitcoin... Boom or Bust with Brandon West of SALT Lending.

The Whole Hard Truth According to Courtney Alston
The post election world doesn't seem to be mending seamlessly as many hoped it would. Shocker. Talks with my birthday twinn have always been a calming influence in my world... and now I'm bringing that sense of peace to yours. Popey's chicken, binary political choices, Covid-19 fuckery and finding peace in the midst of chaos. My personal zen master Courtney Alston is in the building, Whole Hard Truth style.
