I love this podcast. I work from home in pharmacy and I used to have the tv on but somehow I migrated to podcasts and found you guys! So happy! Love yall and keep up the excellent content ❤️

Caveat, I’ve only listened to a couple of episodes and found the podcast to be enjoyable. BUT WHY in the intro does Rachel say they will hear teasers then “decide which one we have to absolutely hear about first” when Rachel ALWAYS goes first?!?!

Super smart, quirky, funny, female scientist hosts!…. Need I say more?…I will. The episodes have loads of fun and interesting facts about historical and sciencey events that are unbelievable & enlightening about how weird humans are. Pepppered with the opinions of funny people. I listen to it while I work all day. Chef’s kiss.

Like many other reviewers, I love the weird & fascinating science stories. (5 stars) And I struggle to listen because of the poor presentation skills of the hosts & some guests. (1 star) I want to listen all the time but I get so annoyed. Presentation is a skill that can be practiced & improved- I would love if the hosts would take a class to make it more bearable.

Could you have Pixlriffs from “The Spawn Chunks” podcast?

Like I tried this like app. And like the facts were like interesting, but like hearing the like word every 5 seconds was so annoying, I like had to turn it like off. Listen and count your likes.

I’m new to the podcast world, I guess it was pure curiosity of what the podcast world was like to get me to finally open the app. I’m so happy I did. I’m a nerd for weird, interesting and unusual facts. Also, anything that involves science/ astronomy. This is the first and only podcast I have ever listened to. I currently binge about 3-4 or so episodes a day since I first listened to it a week ago. Thank you for creating this! (Edit: I’m just now listening to a July 2019 episode of uranium dinnerware and am reporting that Boscov’s is still alive and well. There is one in my hometown of Wilkes Barre, PA just a few miles south of Scranton, PA.)

I like the premise of this podcast, but I cannot make it through a single episode, with one or more of the hosts saying “uh” and/or “um” every other word. It makes it feel way too colloquial and unprofessional, for a supposedly highly researched podcast. Please read your reviews and heed our advice!

It would help if you could stop smacking your lips and using pet words so often. That plus some errors in your info make it seem like the research was done 5 minutes before recording.

I’m trying to get past all the um’s and uh’s. Incredibly choppy and making it hard for me to follow what your saying. Hoping to get past it.

Love you ladies. My husband (who is a white guy, but please don’t hold it against him) turned me on to this podcast, and I enjoy it so much! Keep breaking down those myths (e.g., IQ… ugh!) and sticking it to the patriarchy.

I couldn’t concentrate on the episode with all the whistling noises when pronouncing an S sound. “Uh” and “um” were said so often that even my 10 year old noticed and was annoyed — quite distracting.

Always something to give you a chuckle while learning something… I vote you change it to a 6 degrees of separation type contest with all your facts… who can make the closest connection without intending 😂

My favorite podcast! I find myself laughing and gasping out loud. I love the banter between all of y’all! I have been bingeing and will continue to do so.

This podcast is good but I personally dont like how they have to narrate into each segment. Just give us the info!! Its annoying hearing the same segue over and over and treating the episodes methodically. theres no fun in hearing a robot speak. speak naturally.

This is the podcast that got me into podcasts embarrassingly late in the game, and it’s the one I’m the most excited to come back to. Very proud weirdo!

I just recently started bingeing your podcast. Let me just say it is amazing. My wife always make fun of me for sneezing when it’s bright outside. So I sent her the sideshow babies episode to show her that it was a real thing. Keep up the good work.

Love this podcast!! I often find myself audibly gasping or saying “wait, what?!?!” as I listen. In the best way though! Also laughing so hard at the 1-star reviews referring to the “sexism” of their historical facts. They’re just telling it like it is. I mean if you’re looking for fantasy or fiction go somewhere else🤷🏻‍♀️

I want to love this podcast because it presents such interesting facts, but the hosts seem to think everyone wants to hear about annoying mundane parts of their lives. Stick to the facts and tell a good story instead of stretching it out and ruining it by being annoying.

I love the heavy stream of new facts on totally absurd topics. Excellent.

There is a LOT of graphic conversation of horrific things done to animals. How can you get a clean rating when they talk about carving out a cats brain, while it’s still alive. That’s adult content.

April 26 episode not playing in the native podcast app in the Apple iPod device. (Trying to add it to the playlist closes the app.) The topics are great. Podcast would also be great if you can go easy on the giggles, enunciate clearly, don’t talk over each other and generally slow down the delivery .

I really enjoy this podcast!! I’m a clinical microbiologist, but don’t really like listening to “work” at work. However, this podcast is just silly enough that I have a good time laughing at work while listening! It’s a refreshing change from my typical true crime binging. My coworkers enjoy you all as well! I was a little sad to hear that part of the staff thinks “the entire state of Texas” is a BBQ loving, petty population. 🙄🙄 (I mean, I don’t even care for BBQ. lol Geez 😒)

This is a great and entertaining podcast. Also, I love how good it sounds! The audio is so well-edited!!

I recently found this podcast and it is phenomenal. I just finished season 3, and while I look forward to getting caught up, I’ll miss filling my day with you weirdos. I love switching up the hosts, because it keeps the dynamic, and banter fresh. I have so much more praise to give but I’ll end it here… for now.

Sexist women on the show try too hard to add a women’s suffrage message to each episode. Just state the facts with less of your biased opinions.

Your show is one of my favorites. Rachel…you seem to be an intelligent person, but your use of “LIKE” during your presentations is something I think you would have outgrown in college. Please stop so I’ll quit grinding my teeth during your show segment.

I have been binging your show while walking between class and sharing them with my girlfriend and got them it to it as well! I’m converting to Judaism and my partner is Jewish, so I love it when y’all mention the Talmud and other parts of some of y’all’s Jewish culture! But mainly I just really like being able to learn new stuff in my walks. I’m a engineer student so being able to try to have a moment of making sure to remind me learning things can till be fun helps me with keeping up with my work load! I’m currently having been doing research in drones (specifically delivery drones), so I may try to share some facts with y’all when I figure out how. I have been listen in order from season 1 to 3 and I’m kind of ashame I haven’t figured it out yet.😅

Me and my family often take trips to places fairly far away and I listen to this podcast all the time. Also I love weird and random facts so this podcast is great for me. I always find myself looking forward to the next episode.

Cool content but …. Hard voices to listen to also they say the word umm umm umm umm um so many times

I constantly find myself sharing the fun weird information from this podcast with other people! The facts are always interesting and the hosts are clearly intelligent. I've been binging the podcast for several weeks so maybe it's been this way all along and I'm just now noticing it but the hosts use A LOT of filler words lately. It's not just an occasional "um" or "like"... it's constant. I'm almost caught up on episodes and found myself skipping two whole fact segments recently, even though I really wanted to hear them, because I couldn't stand the amount of "ummmm" and "uuuhhh" being thrown around (the one about snake island and then hair care products). I just paused the one about the chocolate factory to write about this because it has the same issue. It's unfortunate because it really takes away from the otherwise awesome show.

This is a great podcast. I love the facts and the variety of topics covered. I began listening to this while driving up and down the East coast for the holidays and I have finally caught up on all of the episodes (there are so many) in just 5 months!!! I cant wait to hear more. I love jess and rachel and claire, and of course the sarahs and everyone else who’s been on. This is my favorite podcast for road-trips and working in lab chopping up dolphin guts because it has no commercials so I can stay engaged the whole time. I can’t wait to here more!
