Yani Williams first began her journey feeding the homeless in the early months of 2007, from this birthed her Your A.O.K. Foundation. Sarah Magazzo and Francine Marie are Co-Creators of Pheed Philly. Pheed Philly is a small grassroots movement that aims to improve quality of life for the homeless of Philadelphia one care package at a time. Yes, Pheed Philly provides basics like food, water, and clothing to the homeless population of Philadelphia, but their ultimate goal is so much bigger than that. They want to show up for those less fortunate so that they feel seen and know that they are loved and valued. Human connection is something many of us take for granted, but it’s something thousands of individuals go without every day.
