Episode 10 - To celebrate 10 episodes of The VN Talks, we decide to let our spontaneity take over the podcast (we actually do that all the time, but never mind). In honour of the double digits on the episode count, we bring you our perspective on what this podcast means to us, regardless of the number of people listening. The VN Talks has become a safe space to voice our opinion and invite our friends to voice theirs, strengthened our friendship even more and led us to discover much more about each other than we ever thought we would.  Today on The VN Talks, we talk about no specific topic, but we say everything we want to say. Thank you for listening to us. We are here to stay.

Episode 09 - Fashion.  Something that involves us and revolves around us constantly. çLove it or hate it, the textile industry has become one of the pillars of our society.  And even if our main topic was fashion, let us take a second to shout out our amazing third guest (or understudy host) Denise, who took the FULL lead of this episode. Today, we also ask you to make Tala’s childhood dream come true and give her some Adidas SuperStar, accept the fact that Marga has bought Bangladeshi-produced articles (don’t blame her - you’ve done it too), allow Cata to cry (yes, again), and listen to Denise telling you to LOOK OUTSIDE.  P.S.: Thanks to Tala we have officially started our third drinking game of the podcast, the first one that goes over more than one episode. Drink whenever she says: "a byproduct of misogyny". We hope you’re ready to get drunk.

Episode 08 - Nope, we can't recall what we said in this episode. But bare with us. When we recorded, it was 2 am; or 7 am. Or something like that. Anyways, on today's episode, we talk about representation on TV, movies and the media in general. Or the lack of thereof. Tala wonders why beautiful, independent, and strong hijabis are always shown taking off their Hijab for a boring white man (or Guzmán). Marga is today's know-it-all giving us more information about SKAM than we will ever need (P.S.: go watch it, what are you waiting for?). Meanwhile, Cata is already crying over the first-ever Disney film set in Colombia, Encanto, and the fact Mirabel has glasses and beautiful curly hair.  P.S.: DM us if u want to see Cata cry in theaters while watching Encanto in November. 

Episode 07 - Happy Olympic Games season everyone! Tokyo 202One is finally here, and so is our episode on what are not the best assets of the games. As 205 countries in the world unite on the pitch, we go behind closed doors to dig up some controversies.  Cata exposes herself as an Olympic "know-it-all" and leaves us wondering how many Olympic-related documentaries she has seen. Tala is is blown away by the fact that there are Jordanian athletes that are her age in the Olympics and wants you to know that you shouldn't be a tailor. Meanwhile, Marga initiates the second drinking game of the podcast: take a shot every time she says "We are a NATION" (and good luck staying sober). P.S.: Please tag the Olympic Channel

Episode 06 - In this episode, we welcome our second guest: JB, with whom we go for a deep dive into the music realm.  While we question what "good music" really is, Tala reminds us that it's "Brutal out here" and what artists she is "Sour" about. Marga gets blown away by what "RAP" stands for and tells us that she would "Drag down" Simon Cowell if she could. Cata tells the "Truth Untold" behind K-Pop and gets called out for dancing to Reggaeton.  JB finally makes his debut in the podcast and is revealed to be "the good friend" of Cata's, possibly mentioned in every single one of our episodes. You don't wanna miss him confessing how catchy he found Wejdene's "Anissa" to be and sharing his thoughts on what "real music" sounds like.

Episode 5 - We get real and lag. A lot. TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ In today's episode, we talk about mental health, listener discretion is advised, as some topics may be triggering. Please, listen to whatever you are comfortable hearing us discuss because remember: taking care of yourself comes first. Marga gets real with medication while Tala goes on a rant because everyone fights battles we don't know about. Cata reminds you that you should GO TO THERAPY (and that all roads lead to Bangtan, but that is another conversation).

Episode 4 - We discuss what our 19 years of experience of being a girl have taught us while appalled by femicide statistics and our own stories as young girls and those of other outstanding women that patriarchy erased from our history books.  Tala talks about that there are people that compare a LIVING HUMAN to an apple, Cata talks about the ICONIC Pola, and Marga shares her experience getting catcalled and how it affected her when she was a young teenager.

Episode 3 - We finally have our first guest speaker, we diss on Glee... oh, and Happy Pride, everyone!  Today on The VN Talks, Tala talks about the non-existent bonus passes to Heaven, Cata shares she is a Pride gift fairy, and Marga wonders where and why did Cata just disappear mid-episode. Our amazing guest, Don, shares his experience as part of the LGTQ+ community and reminds us that we don't need a complete understanding of something to be respectful towards it.

Episode 2 - We acknowledge the ghosts of our past friendships and show how haunted (yet grateful) we're by them.  Cata fills us in with way more storytimes and viewpoints than we all expected (even her); Marga is not allowed to go off by her co-hosts and is left with a lot to say, and Tala tries to convince us that she is not a psycho.  P.S.: if you went to high school with Tala, please let us know if you hated her.

Episode 01 - We share our experiences in our recently finished first year of university. Marga takes pride in being a local (drinking game idea: drink every time we say "local"), Tala struggles to pronounce "Shanghai" and we question if Cata went insane while living alone.
