Needs to tone down the language
Was excited to listen to the podcast as the topic were pertinent and relevant to what I am going through. As a woman in medicine I value the use of valid studies to back up anything new that I attempt to try rather than anecdotal evidence. However, I found it extremely off putting the use of gratuitous f-bombs and language. The language really detracts from the professionalism and takes away from the validity of what she is trying to say. If you want people to take you as a woman seriously, you really need to tone that down.

Informative, entertaining, and a delight to listen to
I listen to a lot of different podcasts but this one is something special.
Val, the host of this show, is clearly an expert on the subjects of nutrition, dieting, exercise, and fitness in general. And yet somehow despite me knowing very little on any of these topics, not once did I feel out of my depth while listening. She takes complex ideas and make them easy to digest, while never compromising the value of the content for those more familiar.
It is incredibly impressive, especially as the podcast feels like something you might find a university lecture. In particular, I really enjoy her examples of important historic studies and how well she breaks them down. Val is clearly an academic, and I envy those that have the privilege of attending her classes in person.
She has a voice perfect for podcasting, a bubly fun personality, and a genuine passion for fitness, all backed by mountains of knowledge and experience in the field. I cannot reccomend this podcast enough for anyone even midly curious about proper dieting, health and nutrition and I cannot wait for the next episode to drop.
