Thanks so much for tips on dry farming. Will you be addressing fog collection for water? We sometimes have “pea soup” mornings and I am wondering how useful this method is.

This podcast is educational on so many topics. I’ve learned about everything from cucumber melons to urban homesteading in the southwest. Additionally, the tone is so relaxing and peaceful. It’s exactly what I need after a stressful day. I couldn’t ask for a better podcast!

My 7 year old always asks me to put this podcast on in the car. We absolutely love it! We have an urban homestead and we’ve learned a lot!

What a great podcast with fantastic guests. Love the energy and attitude. Farmer Greg has led me to some other great podcasters on backyard farming.

The good: the guests are great and extremely knowledgeable on a variety of topics. The bad: the host is tone deaf, clearly has no interest in learning from others (by constantly declaring how he already knows everything his guests are trying to discuss and essentially killing the natural flow of conversation and information), and is constantly trying to make everything about him by interrupting the guests or trying to redirect their discussion with his irrelevant personal anecdotes or the incessant personal injections (ex: Okay! Great! I already knew that!) or the stale, pedantic closing questions that have been exactly the same for years that even the guests are clearly rolling their eyes while answering. At least after more than 2 years of complaints in the reviews, he finally stopped eating and drinking while recording - because that’s super respectful to your guests too... If you can totally tune out the host, the guests are great! Is there an app for that yet?

They talk more about programs and products and less about how to grow food.

One of my favorite farm/homestead podcasts. Especially the seed saving classes, which I just can’t get enough of. Thank you so much. Please do some more episodes on raising quail, breeding plants and seed saving.

There are so many topics in the world of gardening! This is one of the few podcasts that brings together professionals and hobbyists to share what’s going on in their chunk of the gardening world. I like the variety of views and experiences. It’s also neat to see how people across the world participate in the grow your own food revolution!

Listened to one episode. The topic suggested in the title was barely addressed. Instead the guest and host discussed at length a topic in which neither of them are experts (nutrition and physiology). A great example of how the spread of false information happens so easily. Approach this podcast with some skepticism

This is a great Podcast for newcomers and season gardeners. Greg has a great since of humor and knowledge and provides the tools for success. I live in Central Kentucky area and have started my own urban farm now. Good vibes 🤙🏻 and and rock on 🤘

This could be a five star show but...it’s not. The guests are absolutely five star. SO MUCH good info and a variety of topics. My huge annoyance comes from the host. Yes, he is knowledgeable and experienced, but he always inserts himself and makes everything about him. It is such a strange and irritating habit. LET THE GUESTS SPEAK WITHOUT INTERRUPTION. Not every point they make needs to be followed up with the hosts’ personal anecdote. So...could be five, but someone needs to calm the mansplaining.

The guests on the podcast are very inspirational. It took me a while to get used to Greg's style, but the guests he has on this show make me keep coming back for more.

I discovered this podcast early on and it has opened me up to so many amazing people, garden educators as well as people who just have a different background and experience from my own. I've learned so much and will continue to do so as I listen in each week.

Has been a good find and has great information. However, there tends to be times when you can hear background noise from the host- stapling papers or cutting things...hard to pay attention when that is going on

The episodes I listened to were very specific to the southwest, quite repetitive, and not a lot of usable information, more interviewees tooting their own horn. They might all be lovely people, but I listen to podcasts to learn.

I find this host to be impersonal, unable to relate to his guests, and competitive to the point of one-upmanship. His most common response to a guest's answer to a question is "nice" or something about how he already knew that fact. Distracted by his manner, I'm unable to enjoy the amazing and knowledgable guests. Will be moving on to other permaculture podcasts.

Good podcast. I really enjoy some of the guests. Two points of improvement: 1) mix up the questions. It gets a little mundane when the questions are the exact same to every guest. 2) STOP EATING AND DRINKING DURING THE INTERVIEWS!!! The last back episode I tried to listen to I had to turn off because the sound of you eating was making my stomach turn. I'm still catching up on back episodes so it may be better by the time I get current.

Great info and interviews. The downfall is the ongoing background noise. It often sounds like the host is eating/chewing while on the microphone. This is very distracting and fixing this small problem would greatly improve the production value of this already good podcast.

I’m impressed with this podcast. I like Greg’s style and knowledge. I feel like he has so much to share that I could listen for years and still learn something new. He’s inspiring me to get into my garden more. This is well worth listening to.

So far so good! This is exactly what I was hoping for when I learned that the Urban Farm was going to be doing a podcast. Full of great, specific information that I can put to practice right away. The tone is great - very knowledgeable host and guests with lots to share but not at all intimidating. It is great to listen and learn but not feel like I'm not "doing enough". A lot of resources on permaculture and urban farming can be a bit too intense. I look forward to many more!

After 3 episodes I am already hooked. Great content targeting the majority of us - people living in urban and suburban areas. As a certified permaculture practitioner focusing on smaller scale properties, this is a great resource.

First 3 episodes were great! Specifically informative if you live in PHX, but one could learn a great deal about permaculture from this podcast no matter where you live.

I'm an off an on gardener. I always start out the seasons enthusiastic and ready to go. But I never seem to follow through to the end. This has some great ideas in it and has inspired me to give it another go.

I enjoy gardening but I was growing frustrated at the lack of success due to this harsh desert climate and my lack of knowledge. After listening to the first three episodes of this podcast I felt revitalized and ready to get my hands dirty again. A big thanks to Greg and all of his guest for sharing their experiences and knowledge with us.

Awesome podcast. Greg at the urban farm is amazing and he helped us grow our own food about two years ago. Can't wait for more episodes.
