In this episode I'm reacting to 3 tips for young adults in the book 101 Secrets For Your Twenties by Paul Angone. I HIGHLY recommend this book to any twenty something. It's a quick read and incredibly relatable! I'm going to do a few short episodes reacting to the tips in this book that I found to be the most important. Can't wait to hear what you think! (and once again, you should totally buy this book!!)

Today's episode is on social media and body image. We're covering topics like plastic surgery, the body positivity movement, and current beauty standards -- you know, the works. I'm reading some of your thoughts on these topics, as well as, sharing my own commentary/opinions. I know these are very personal topics that come with many different perspectives, so pull up a chair, get a snack, & feel free to disagree with me :)

Today I'm giving you my thoughts on Netflix's documentary, "The Social Dilemma". There was so much in this film that I had to watch it multiple times to try and process my thoughts!! Mainly, we are focusing on the addictive structure of social media, the way internet companies are able to accurately predict our behavior, and polarization caused by social media. Oh, and how this affects ALL of us!!

Are we addicted to social media? Last week you heard me give my thoughts on the addictiveness of social networking sites and also talk to a couple 20-somethings to get their opinions. BUT this time, we're hearing from YOU! This is part 2 to episode 1, where I'm reading some of the responses that listeners sent in on Instagram. I hope hearing the thoughts of others people in their 20s helps validate your feelings towards social media. It's ok to recognize the negative effects it has on you -- that's how we change it!

This week we have a quick solo episode! I wanted to share the 4 weekly goals I set for myself to keep me somewhat on track during the quarantine. I have definitely been struggling with mental and physical health throughout this whole situation, so I wanted to share some easy to remember tips that help me in the hopes that they help some of you feeling the same way! I am by NO MEANS and health professional, so these goals may not work for you. I am just sharing what has personally worked for me :)

This week I got to talk to Licensed Professional Therapist, Gabby Morreale all about managing anxiety during the current pandemic! She talks us through 5 tips on how to cope with all the restlessness we may be feeling. Anxiety is something many listeners have shared they struggle with, so I want to keep making sure it is something we're talking about often. :)
