For the two weeks, there has been a drumbeat for the release of “The Memo.” A four page document that purports to lay out FBI and DOJ abuses regarding Donald Trump. Unlike past possible government overreach situations in the past, the press has declared that it should not be released and now that it has is apoplectic about it. But what is in the memo? Is it a smoking gun or just another bread crumb in a larger story. In this episode, we break down the press reaction and the memo itself.

Jake Tapper and Oprah found themselves amongst each other at the top of the news cycle this week. Jake upruptly ended his interview with Trump Advisor Stephen Miller, saying "he was wasting his viewers time," and Oprah spoke to the Hollywood hills that have the entertainment elites gushing about a Presidential run. As is usually the case the reaction to each is overblown. The Trump money train has truly begun this week with the publication of the new book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. The book has the President in attack mode, and Wolff is already counting the cash he’s going to get. But is the book to be believed? Or is it a liberal version of an Ed Klein Clinton attack book? We’ll get into it. Plus, the dumbest thing CNN has done in months. 

2018 is here. The start of a new year brings a new election season and Democrats are salivating at the mouth to take the House. And they have reason to feel good. History does not favor the party in control of all three branches of government. So what can President Trump do to extend his agenda and mitigate any mid-term election losses? Hint: Its not anything Paul Ryan wants to do.

The Tax Reform Bill is passed. The Republicans have won. Or have they? There was no Democrat votes for it. The public polls are negative. A mid-term election looms in the future.
