How persistent should we be in our relationships? What’s the thin line between chasing someone and losing all self respect? Often we have better relationships with people in our heads and not in real life and cannot admit it to ourselves. And worst of all, some people love the way you make them feel more than they love you. On this next segment, Thulani and Darrol discuss mutually beneficial and one sided relationships.

We all need a chance to grow as people and to try out new avenues. How often do we give others an opportunity to move on from who we know them to be or are we always pitting them against what our idea of them is? The boys discus albums that just didn’t do it for them in this next segment and also touch on why when certain artists move away from the sound we are used to it may make us feel a way. The episode then ends in the boys discussing their toxic relationship with Man United.

Between debit orders, black tax and high lifestyle inflation costs we didn’t know that adulting would slap this hard. We have found that our expectations (especially in monetary terms) haven’t been met and there is a sense unhappiness caused by this failure. In the episode we give you an array of emotions and conversations on met and unmet expectations we have had through the years. We hope you don’t get lost in-between the chats.

We would like to thank our parents for getting over their childhoods and being better for us. Giving us a life they dreamt of having as kids. We hope one day to show them our gratitude.
The biggest realization for us was that our parents did a lot with less. We took time out during the conversation to reflect on our childhoods and found out they weren’t as bad as we thought. We just need to give our parents some grace. To those who aspire to be parents, think about your reasons to be a parent. It’s probably harder than you think but as fulfilling as you hope. May you go home or if you are home, show some love to your parents. If your mom or dad wasn’t there for you understand that God wouldn’t give you a life you couldn’t handle. Thank you for listening to us and our rants.

Parents? Why are parents important In a conversation about adulting? Who and what we are is significantly influenced by our upbringing. Genetics isn’t the only way our parents contribute to who we are as people because their relationship with us can have dire consequences. We discuss whether two parent households raise better children and Darrol digs deeper into how his father taught him to be present.
