Your peek behind the curtain of what it's like to be an entrepreneur, mom and woman that seems to be doing "all the things". We are talking the good, the bad and all the juicy stuff in between. Plus, I'll be giving you tangible tips to use in your online business to help you grow and scale without being chained to your phone 24/7.
18: How I developed my content process after 8 years in the online space
We are diving into my journey of developing a content process after being in the online space for 8 years.  I learned early in my journey that posting lifestyle content and tips was not going to help me achieve my business goals.  I have invested in email courses and coaches over the years, this is what has ultimately helped me improve my storytelling skills and create more engaging content. My 3-part approach: Connection Authenticity Authority When you incorporate these 3 things, you are able to reach your audience in a different way and reach those business goals you desire. If you’re feeling stuck or just bored with your content, I encourage you to identify what it is that you truly need help with.  Invest in things that make sense for you. My Create Better Content workshop is a great resource if you are feeling stuck.  Click here to access the free workshop.  We cover how to create connection, authenticity and building authority. 17: Go from inspiring content to content that gets you paid
It’s important to not just be seen as inspirational, but also as someone who can guide and teach others in the online business space. In this episode, I share my experience as a Beachbody Coach and how I received compliments for being inspiring but struggled to convert those into actual clients. It is important to differentiate oneself and show potential clients that they can achieve similar results with your guidance. Confidently talk about your expertise and results.  I want you to explain your services to a stranger or someone who is not in your industry if you are struggling to articulate what you do best.  Not sure where to start?  Reach out to your past and current clients – ask them why they chose to work with you, what made them trust you and this will help you form a deeper understanding that you can use in your messaging. My challenge for you this week:  give yourself 30 minutes to free write what you think your superpowers are and then create a piece of content within the next 10 days of listening to this episode.  Tag me in it on Instagram, I want to see it!  I will also pop in your DM’s and give you a little bit of feedback. Follow me on Instagram @gianatralongo, tag me in your challenge this week.  You can also binge the content on my feed because there are even more pieces there that will help you get a clear view on your authority and how to spotlight your superpower.

16: Is your business giving you the freedom you want?
Time freedom is a common reason why people start their own business.  We all desire some type of “freedom.”  Understanding your own priorities in business and making aligned decisions is what helps you get that freedom you desire. I ask myself these questions twice a year:  How am I spending my time? How do I want to spend my time? What do I need to do differently? The answers to these questions will help give yourself a roadmap on your goals and prioritize what needs to be done to get to the freedom you want. If you’ve been in my world for awhile, you know that I am all about time management and creating strategies to achieve your goals.  If you’re listening to this episode and thinking “I have no clue where to start” please send me a DM on Instagram @gianatralongo If you’re loving this podcast, make sure you send it to a friend and leave a review!

15: Setting boundaries on social media
Setting boundaries on social media is crucial, especially if you are an entrepreneur.  This episode I talk about boundaries with potential and current clients to help you avoid burnout and create healthy client relationships. Let’s start with potential clients, I highly suggest providing some free advice but then direct them to your resources.  This could be having them opt-in to your freebie or join your email list, etc.  I share my own personal experience in this episode on why giving too much free advice often will land you in the “friend zone.” Setting boundaries with your current clients is equally as important.  Communicating how you conduct business and the proper way to communicate during your time working together is key.  I always encourage everyone to have business conversations on a specific platform, such as Voxer.  Setting the expectation ahead of time will avoid confusion in the long run and set you and your client up for success. Last, you have to set boundaries with yourself when it comes to social media.  I suggest following accounts that bring you joy (doesn’t always have to be business related) and mute the ones that trigger you in a negative way.  I am a huge advocate for taking breaks from social media when you feel the need to, set specific days off and using apps, like Opal, to manage your screen time effectively.  The ultimate goal here is to stop the mindless scrolling and breaking those negative habits! 14: Integrity & the long game in your online business
In this episode, I discuss the importance of integrity and patience in building an online business. I share my own experiences and observations about the online space, highlighting the need for transparency and ethical decision-making. I emphasize that success in business is not always as glamorous or quick as it may seem, and that there is often more to the story than what is presented. I encourage you to focus on your own journey, stay committed to your values, and build a solid foundation for long-term success.  Reflecting on my own business, I have a lot of pride in the loyal community I have built. The online space can be challenging, but despite the difficulties, I urge you to continue showing up for your people, stay passionate about your work, and make ethical decisions. Building a successful business is a slow burn, and building the foundation is crucial for sustainable growth.  Finding a supportive community that shares your values and mindset about business is so important. I believe that having like-minded people around can make a significant difference in navigating the online space.  If you love a Giana rant, be sure to follow me on IG @gianatralongo Here is the link to my newsletter, I pop in your inbox with all things business, motherhood and everything in between.  Click here to join!

13: Planning Fourth Quarter & Your September Content Plan
Right now is the time to make plans for what your 4th quarter will look like and September is the time to lay the groundwork in your content for what you will be offering in your online business in Q4.  Aug - notoriously busy for everyone (end of summer / back to school)  September has that “new year” vibe - things get back into a routine, people get focused again You HAVE to prep your audience right for what you have coming - while they are paying attention  What type of content I would be creating right now:  Connection - sharing who you are & that you understand where your ideal client is right now  Educational - tips, hacks and information that people are searching for that shows you know your stuff  Authority building: your opinion, framework, how you do things differently than the other people in your industry  Also focus on offering freebies and low-ticket offers to get people further into your world.    Being proactive in this way is what will help you reach your end of year sales goals and how to take time off during the holidays too. Personally, I take 2 weeks off at the end of the year from calls and selling and it is the perfect reset going into a new year. But this can only happen if you're proactive in your business right now.  Love what we talked about in the episode and want me to help you strategize this? DM me on Instagram & book a call with me and we will do it together!

12: Breakdown from my latest live launch
Share with me on IG what you think about launching @gianatralongo  This is the very first time I’ve shared something like this 🤭 On this week’s episode  - I am breaking down my latest launch.  How it went, what I prepped - what I loved about it, what didn’t work and what I’ll change for the next one.  Launching is a tricky thing that so many people hate (I know I did!) and most businesses in the online space only break down their launches when they are wildly successful - so it can make it seem like you’re doing something wrong.  If you have a love/hate (or just straight hate) relationship with launching - listen in to this episode (or even if you’re just nosy and want to see how mine went). I am breaking down:  How I’ve done launches before & how I felt during them  *stressed / hail mary / if this launch doesn’t work I am going to quit  *focused more on the product than on selling it  *didn’t always have the build up or authority    How I prepped:  Content  Emails  Everything done ahead of time // no guilt over posting too much or sending too many emails. I made sure I could say all the things I wanted to say and all the things the person that needed this course would need to hear   Goals set - i don’t do well with “just a number” & it feels a little icky to say a number of people.  I go more with the approach of: the right people will join and choosing a “reward” for myself if the financial goal is reached (from Martha)    Also - mid-launch goals which made it really fun for me. It was like christmas - getting a secret for a gift I loved    What I did during the launch:  Posting - daily. Almost all of them hit & I will repurpose most of them. Will trash the ones that I know didn’t land    Lives - 2x // would have liked to go live more but moving didn’t allow it. I prefer more “chill” lives - as if we were hanging out and I was telling you about this on my back porch. Not super salesy or presentery    Stories - I dont actively plan these out    Mindset // NOT clearing my calendar    How the launch turned out & why it was my favorite one yet  Didn’t reach my goal but the perfect women were in AND I know there will be other women interested when I relaunch    I very much used to hate live launching but the truth is - live launching gives you SUCH good brand recognition. And it is a vibe to be launching which means it’s likely people will be attracted to you - even if they aren’t ready for your program yet.

You might be surprised and if you love Harry Potter too - you’ll love the trip down memory lane We are talking about being in the fandom since day one, midnight movies, dressing up in an Oliver Wood quidditch jersey  How I brought my love of Harry Potter into my adult life & why I will forever love this book.  I talk about the themes of the book that touch me to my core & I try to convince you to read the books too if you never have!    Thanks for listening in & getting to know me and what I love a little bit better!

10: Day in the Life of a Mompreneur - Part 2
Follow me on IG: @gianatralongo  & grab my free webinar (as mentioned in the episode): Build Your Business without the Mom Guilt    This is on a planned week day that my kids normally wouldn’t be home but are (ei: they have doctors apts, it’s a school holiday closing, etc) I like to break the day into 7 parts  Breakfast  Morning activity  Lunchtime  Nap  Afternoon activity  Dinner time  Bedtime  When I am planning out my week and there is a day like this - I do my best to not plan any work items - but theme my day around house items. That isn’t always possible but whatever I do plan, my goal is to only do it during nap time.  This is super similar to how I scheduled my days when I was first building my business and the kids were home full time.  Some days would be themed home days, others were work days and some were guilt free personal days.
