#35 Bryony Farrar | Body comparison | Judging other women | Managing anxiety and mental health awareness | Tackling white privilege
In this episode, I am joined by Bryony Farrar. Bryony is the founder of the B movement, which runs classes in flexibility, pole dance, acrobatics and aerial hoop. I invited Bryony onto the podcast to dive deep into our relationship with the body as women. This is actually something that came up for me last year. As a woman born into a Muslim family, I was confronted by some deep truths last year around my own relationship with my body and also how I perceive other women and their relationship with theirs. I did a lot of work around my own judgments and projections. Having reached a place where I feel I’ve reconciled with my own limiting beliefs around the body, I felt that it was a great time to invite Bryony here as all of her work centres around taking ownership of your body and therefore yourself. We also chat about the work she has been doing in the diversity and inclusion space as a white woman who once feared external judgement from others.
