Hey Everyone, and a huge welcome to the inaugural episode of the Trad-Not-Trad Podcast. Pat and I figured it’d be a good way for you all to get to know us if we interviewed each other! So, this first episode is me and Pat…talking about…Pat!  In this episode, Pat and I talk about the Trad Music Scene in Dublin in the 1970s, learning the pipes from Tommy Reck and Leon Rowsome, and starting out on the bouzouki after hearing Planxty. We also talk about his singing, and immigrating first to Boston and eventually Chicago, hooking up with Liz Knowles and Kieran O’Hare, the Celtic Legends Tour, and his experiences with touring the world with Secret Garden. I wanna mention here, to be recorded for the ages, how lucky I am to be working with Pat as my partner on this podcast!
