Small show with a huge hit.
The Tower is a standout audio drama that proves horror doesn’t need to yell to be chilling. Tin Can Audio captures the creepy, scary, mystery-horror vibe (I apologize if you identify as mystery thriller and i wrongly throw you in the horror box) without ever slapping you in the face with it. The atmosphere builds slowly and quietly, creating a tension that lingers long after each episode ends.
The music and sound design are exceptional, setting the tone from the first note!!!!! Every ambient layer, musical cue, and subtle effect makes the world feel alive and amplifies the unease in the best possible way.
If you love subtle, atmospheric horror that gets under your skin rather than relying on jump scares, The Tower is absolutely worth your time. It’s elegant, unsettling, and unforgettable. (I apologize if your show identifies as mystery/ thriller and i wrongly threw you in the horror box)
This is Wayyy out my usual nitche of construction, non fiction, true crime, and financial fraud. Something about the background music and the voices felt profound enough to keep me checking over the years if anything new dropped.

STUNNING
This is by far the most beautiful and mysterious audio drama I’ve ever listened to. I’ve listened to it through three times already, which is easy to do since the episodes are so short. Their soundtrack on Spotify is fantastic too! I need to know what’s at the top of the tower…👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Beautiful
This is equal to listen to spoken word poetry over the most beautiful Orchestral music. Plus the plot and mystery are interesting as a bonus

A mysterious but comfortable story
The Tower has two warm people trying to learn how to talk about their lives (and each other), all while one of them is on a quest to climb an impossibly tall tower. It is a lovely story, and a lovely place to spend some time in.

A dreamland.
The Tower is an all-time favorite of mine. I’m so thankful I stumbled onto it. When season two arrived, I couldn’t believe my luck.
Fantastic music that makes me think of being under water, in a dream, and floating high above the Great Wall of China as it was being built. Voice acting that is everything it should be, and quite charming.
Thank You!

Good, but not much here
I enjoyed the story or what there is of it. I find this very confusing for a podcast. There is 85 minutes of content here (July 2021) much of it is trailer, duplicate content, outros, promos and a chat with the participants but not a lot of story. Yet listening to the creator/actors the seem to think it is some profound earth shattering story for which there is about an hours worth of story. Before you pat yourself in the back maybe tell a complete story. Acting, story, sound design all are an excellent start but for a total body of work it is incomplete. Should be 4-5 stars, sadly for me in this abandoned state it’s not quite there.

Inspirational and Profound.
Listened to this while making some tea as a break from writing. As soon as I started, I couldn’t stop listening. I instantly loved these characters. I adored the premise. Something i’m writing shares the theme of ‘Local Woman goes into a ‘place of no return’ for unknown reasons, turns out it’s a horror show, and she works through internal strife.’ So, this is right up my alley. Right up my... tower? Any who, the music for this was indescribably amazing. I could visualize the scene by the music alone. And the emotions I felt as I followed the character up the tower? What a complex soup of profound emotions. Wonder? Curiosity? Fear? And when the bonfire was lit (reminded me of dark souls lol), I could visualize the scene and I just stood in the kitchen like an idiot with a dumb grin on my face. Stellar work. Can’t wait to hear more.

Beautifully done
The story gives us a taste of a world that seems to be much like our own but with a small (maybe big?) difference: an ancient tower that is unknowingly tall.
We slowly learn about the lore of the tower and the reasoning behind protagonists’ decision to climb it through phone conversations about her progress.
It’s a beautiful built world with an immersive soundtrack and sound design that pulls you in. It’s short but I’ve listened to it multiple times.
Can’t wait for more from Tin Can Audio!

Beautifully done
The story and the music create a beautiful, introspective ambiance with a bit of supernatural. I especially love the phone call voice transitions, seamlessly done! I hope there’s more from this podcast.

More please!
When I first read the series description, I felt confused because wasn’t it exactly like something I’d heard? Yes! It was an episode of an anthology series. I remember desperately wanting more when it was just a few minutes of a little story. Having heard this perfect, elegant, enigmatic series, I desperately want more. Still. We’ve come partway up the tower but there are almost no answered questions, just new ones. Beautiful, haunting, and contemplative, this short, simple tale will wrap around you and slip under your skin in the best way.
Sea-son 2! Sea-son 2! Please say it will be so I know whether to wait patiently or to grieve.

Bells-n-whistles need not apply! Many podcasts exude copious amounts of auditory extravagance. This story is quite simply..well...simple. Shortened episode time(s) are perfectly compact & I hope for a 2nd season.

Episodes too short
I don’t like the podcasts with short (very short) eposodes. They break up what would be great momentum. I don’t know why they do this but it ruins what would be a great story!

Nicely done
It is all very soft and dreamy.
My attention fired up at the finale.
Hope we can continue soon.
