In this episode we take the train to the little-known town of New Milton on the outskirts of Hampshire to visit the Walker Arms. Billed as the 'Gateway to the New Forest', we chat in small part about the history of the Forest and the possible murder of the King, William 'Rufus' II. We chat about the recent passing of the Queen, and what this means for our coins and post boxes. Mainly coins, because as it turns out Dickie is a total nerd for the British pre-decimal system... We discuss the legend that is Gladys Walker, namesake of the Walker Arms, who for a time, was the longest serving Pub Landlady in the UK. We also try our hand at making the World a little less of a sad state of affairs, by telling you what we're thankful for this month!Plus, we'd love to hear from you about things you're thankful for and any Train Station/Pub recommendations you might have.
