Many of us are overburdened with information today. Constantly bombarded with anything and everything going on around us. How will we be able to truly live our lives if we are stuck consuming and muddling through the emotions and thoughts of other things? Today’s episode is all about anxiety, a topic close to my heart, my hope is this will help you! As someone who deals with anxiety, and has for most of my life. I’ve had to learn to cope with my reality, the false reality that begins to form, and the reality I desire. In my experience, anxiety begins to take hold when I am living in a false reality. What do I mean by this?I really mean, my thoughts. Our thoughts can create the reality we are living in whether or not it is true. Our thoughts allow our mind to respond to something as if it is actually taking place.Anxiety is REAL, but it can be manufactured by ourselves. Armed with this knowledge, we can begin to alter and shift our thoughts to counter the approach of a triggering activity. What are triggering activities? These are different for everyone. Our brain has been trained to respond to different situations in different manners. Therefore, we have to be conscious enough to understand how we feel and WHY we feel that way.Anxiety is a secondary emotion, meaning it is a reactionary emotion stemmed from something primaryWe dive into FIVE ways to redirect anxiety and manage it well…Let’s talk about how we can help calm our anxiety:1 - Learn to be patient.  2 - Recognize your triggers3 - Take Care of Yourself Physically4 - Be Mindful of What You Are Thinking About5 - Give Yourself GraceAnxiety is not something that has to dictate our lives. Our minds are capable of managing, and Christ can bear all our burdens. Don’t forget what the Word says in Philippians present ALL concerns to Christ. No matter how out of sight they may seem. We dive into a story of Paul in Corinthians that sums up how I tend to frame my sessions of depression in a way that gives me TRUTH perspective. Sometimes, the best we can do is lean into the resources we have in our lives. Be that people like counselors, pastors, or loved ones. Giving ourselves boundaries, taking care of ourselves physically, praying and learning patience. If you are walking through the valley of anxiety right now, there is a way out, and I pray you find it. But in the meantime, don’t miss what God may have for you right where you are.Share this episode and tag me PLEASE! With the launch of the new season, I created a resource for you all called the Quick Start Guide for Living a Better, Bolder Life > you can find it by going to https://boldpearls.com/resources or click here. This guide is a step by step guide for helping you improve your life physically, mentally, and spiritually.
