Harry Bosch is a Los Angeles Homicide Detective with an affinity for solving serial slayer investigations. This series was chosen to be the first because of how the characters bring authenticity and realism to the story lines. Bosch has been entertaining readers for 26 years serving as a hero, maverick and, nighthawk that shows how crimes are not solved in a neat and unrealistic fashion.
