In this episode, I speak to Paul aka the Diabetic Dad. Paul has been living with type 1 diabetes for over 37 years and of course, that means he’s seen many changes in diabetes care over the years. We start our chat from Paul’s diagnosis (which is the teaser you might have heard) and then we move into life. A keyword for this episode is ‘life stages’. A key point in Paul’s life, diabetes was there and mostly to take stock of everything and then make a change. From hypos at school and on the way to work, to retinopathy operations to him becoming a leading voice in #gbdoc on Twitter, we talk about it all.
