No boing sound behind a report about displaced Lebanese would be better. Five stars still!

A Review of "The Take"
I had found certain parts of this "The Take" to had been interesting, informative, and enjoyable, and certain other parts of it to had been vulgar (or profane), unnecessary, and detrimental (especially toward certain parts of it I had liked).

Crazy Depth in a short time
Tired of listening to American commentators who know nothing talk about the Middle East. So happy I found this pod. I would love to hear an episode on why the GCC states decided to show restraint after Iran struck them.

A weight-bearing news pillar
No news outlet bears AJ's tragic distinction: most journalists killed during past 6 years. Most lives lost in Gaza and Yemen as AJ labored to report genocide and its perpetrators to a world that allows it. My complete respect. I grieve with you.

Great International Perspective
Truly one of my favorite news podcasts for its diverse, in depth, international stories. Recommend it to your friends and family.

Unbiased, factual, truthful journalism and analysis
AJ is one of the few outlets in the world that does not bow to the U.S. hegemony narrative. If you want to know the state of the world that isn’t filtered through American narratives, then you want The Take.
Compassion Curiosity Integrity
Anti Semitic Anti American
This is a biased channel but it is good to see what they think about America and Israel.

connecting the dots
Reporter Nour Odeh recently capsulized what I value most about the Take. “(p)art of covering this war for us at Al Jazeera,” she said, “is that we are not coming here to report it, right? We are of this region. We know the nuance. We know the fine print of what is happening. And so we have a very wide scope in terms of understanding of what is happening and that the significance is beyond how many missiles were lobbed in one place or another. We see all of the dots that may not seem connected to others.” I find Al Jazeera’s reporting astute and illuminating as news reporting in the US is being actively sabotaged.

War is not an option
I am very sorry for everything that is happening in the region. Not every American agrees with this horrific war behavior. My prayers are with the Palestinians and all the people that is suffering.

Really awesome
Excellent journalism. Appreciate the info and the care given to each show and those interviewed.

Excellent coverage
I enjoy the interview form and the opportunity to get insight into places that the western media rarely makes an effort to explore. Interviews are thoughtful and inquisitive, asking many of the questions I have. Some of the reviews complain about bias, but reporting the news is an ostensibly biased task. What’s more important is being factual and uncovering perspectives and stories that you would not otherwise hear, and that’s what The Take does.

Amazing journalism
Great guests, intelligent, insightful and balanced questions. A great show

Good but biased
I enjoy the show, and many guests provide valuable perspectives, but you can tell which guests’ views align with the show’s preferred global narratives, and it is pretty cringy when the host fawns over the guests with preferred beliefs, asking softball questions and blindly nodding along with dubious statements.

Sick of NYT and The Daily?
AJ provides news without imperialist spin!

Timely & Unique
I am impressed with the valuable content that Al Jazeera English brings to coverage of events. The podcast covers more of the historical background of a conflict or event and presents a much-needed point of view. I am grateful for The Take & the other podcasts from Al Jazeera. I am more fully informed and better able to form an opinion because of this podcast. Thank you to all of your reporters and the knowledge that they bring to us.

Truth, Integrity and Abundance
Resilience and truth telling is not for the faint of heart. Yet the path towards a future of Justice and human harmony requires sharing information in calm and factual ways. The Take does this. I live in US and can sense the information on this podcast is designed to inform.

Just listened to the episode with Marcia Howard and it was powerful. The moment of being seen and letting emotions flow..just beautiful. Not to take away from any of the organizing lessons but I listen regularly because of this humanity!

Worth your time
Great program to help me sort through all the craziness in the world today.

A favorite!
Listening from Phoenix, Arizona. Informative podcast about world affairs without the ever present western bias. I enjoy all of the hosts. I would love if you would report on and address the crisis of pedestrian death by cars in the United States.

Great podcast
Thoughtful perspectives on a variety of international issues.

Daily listening
I used to listen to NYT’s “The Daily” every morning with my coffee or on my commute but have grown tired with its liberal bias and its focus on American politics. The Take offers a more multinational perspective and to me has become more valuable to me than any other news podcast. I would love to hear more coverage about the situation in the Congo.

Much needed perspective
The Take covers stories that are not found on mainstream media. Great format and in depth analysis. Keep up the good work!

I always learn new things from this podcast and they often cover topics that I never hear talked about on other outlets.

It’s A.I.D. Not Aid
Two non Americans talking about Trump cutting ‘aid’ It’s a.i.d. It’s an acronym, and it doesn’t do what we all thought it was doing We were all hoodwinked so let’s not keep pretending the US is cutting actual ‘aid’
Ellebelle_s
I never miss an episode.
Truly one of the most thoughtful, timely, and important podcasts around. Thank you for your coverage.

Important
I adore Malika. The compassion and interest she brings to her interviews are so important. There is a complexity that she brings out of the stories she’s telling that I don’t get elsewhere.
Ronnie3224
Great podcast for understanding world events from people’s, not states’ or businesses’, perspective
Distills without oversimplifying, excellent choice of diverse interviewees who provide key facts/context (often missing from western media coverage), while also giving the listener a sense of what the overall situation feels like for the human beings in the middle of it. Most international affairs podcasts draw on a small stable of pedigreed think-tank or academic “experts” from US or U.K. who have little experiential knowledge or stake in what they’re talking about. The Take does something much more difficult and valuable, by finding people to interview who have both expertise and on the ground knowledge and an actual humans perspective on the situation. The understanding this gives the listener is qualitatively richer than what one can get from listening to people whose expertise is only academic or business/political-elite oriented.

Extremely biased
I’m an independent and found this extremely biased towards the left. Disappointing.

Vital counterpoint to mainstream American outlets
Superlative and often wrenching coverage of global issues. Their reports on the war in Gaza offer intimate and often heartbreaking accounts of the increasingly desperate lives of Palestinians. Absolutely first-rate.

Love It But Not Enough
I do, I love the take, however I find it frustratingly short. I find I skip episodes that 3 minutes or less. There is so much going on in the world and this bite sized format works, just give me more bites.

i disagree with ralph nader that a 3rd party candidate is a good thing. I say that as a person who voted for ralph a long time ago and our voting for rdlph nader brought us a republican for president and that was a very very bad thing. with an electoral college system for winning, 3rd party as a dem is a bad thing to do because it only helps republicans to win. If we had 1 person 1 vote/true majority win and *not* an electoral college to win then i would be fine with 3rd party candidates but with electoral college to win, 3rd party becomes a spoiler, it’s that simple.

More accurate title would be One Take
Another unfortunate example of biased and often misleading journalism. For all the rhetoric and guests bringing up democracy, they sure are doing their part to fear monger and fan flames while only presenting one side. Sadly, this is a program that does little to quell the fear that media can’t be trusted.

Qatari misinformation
This is antisemitic Qatari misinformation to sabotage democracy and freedom.

Thank you for the truth
Thank you for a news source that chooses to be in reality, tell the stories of oppressed people, and doesn’t fall into the traps of a Zionist worldview
