We are Shane and Shauna Nicholas and, in addition to running The Studio Challenge, we own and teach in our studio, Stickandstrum Academy in Birmingham, Alabama. We opened our school with Shane teaching 70+ students on his own, before growing to a multi-teacher studio with 10 teachers, and then simplifying back down to Shane and Shauna (who also started teaching a few years ago). You know us from The Studio Challenge. Now, hear our origin story and hear about what we learned as we grew our studio.
