Abraham had to learn to wait . It took a long time (25 years) for the promise to come to pass,but God was faithful to His promise. God's promises never fail. Remember you are not alone in your waiting room . You will come out with your "Isaac" because your appointed time is here . Now , let's pray Genesis 21 to have an assurance of God's omnipotence who is strong to end every period of delay.

A strong evidence of God's presence and power in the life of Abraham. Nothing is more glorious than being in convenant with Him. Your security,provision and protection are all in place when you journey with God . Psalms 121:3 " He will not suffer your foot to be moved ; he that keeps you will not slumber " . Let's pray Genesis 20 today ; you shall henceforth triumph and truly be overcomer in every facets of life in Jesus' name .

In time of divine visitation ,your weaknesses and limitations are overlooked. Although, Lot and his family enjoyed the pleasures in Sodom. Yet, God stretched his mercies and loving kindness unto them for a rescue mission. May God be merciful unto you so you can journey with Him to your place of rest . Today, lay claim of divine help for yourself and your household.

God's needs are yet unmet. He is desperately searching for confidants. A friend whom he could hold on trust and have a dialogue. Yes, He needs those whose prayers could impact the backslidders, drug addicts and even influence the policy of the Nation. Coincidentally, he found Abraham . Are you available for God to be used to plead on behalf of others ?

We live in a generation that knows little about honouring others . Little wonder, we are hindered in many ways . Abraham entertained Angels' unaware with honour, joy , and enthusiasm. Awesome reception that unlock the window of heaven . God announced his miracle and confirmed it "according to the time of life I will certainly return and Sarah thy wife shall bear a son" Gen 18:10. Dimension of your joy and honour might herald a new beginning in your life . Switch on your button of joy, enthusiasm and honour regardless of your circumstances.

Abram came to the end of himself and all fleshy attempts and all self-help contributions were exhausted. God probably observed his struggles,despair and frustration after Ishmael's birth for a while. Then God appeared after 13 years and called him to walk before him and be perfect. Your efforts from the flesh can only do so much. You're limited when you trust in your own power . Yield yourself to God and see how far he will take you.

Waiting is hard especially when it's obvious that we lack the ability to control the results . Abram had waited but the promises lingered. Period of delay led to frustration that consequently led to unending chaos (birth of Ishmael). Are you in God's waiting room ? God shall come in his time , and grant courage to wait till your change come .

God is about to fulfil his covenant with you . He did in Abram's life ; he will do exactly in your life .

This chapter describes war between kings . The intervention of Abram to rescue his nephew and eventually, a snippet of true sacrifice and worship displayed by Abraham.
