Great podcast!
Just started listening to these guys on the turkey episodes. Really enjoying it so far! There are so many hunting podcasts nowadays and the topics get kinda overdone and run out of fresh stuff and entertainment. These guys and their guests have been different in a good way. Keeps my attention and plenty of good laughs too. Keep it up guys.

New to hunting
Hi my name is Byron from NC. Never been hunting in my life. But I always wanted to go. But never had anyone to take me or show me how. Listen to y’all helping me learning how to get started.

Calico Kitchen
You brought back some memories with the Calico Kitchen. Went there several times in the mid 90s. We called it the Pink Toenail, a guy we hunted with called it that for some reason so we all did too. Hunted about ten miles from there. What was the burger joint across the road?

Mom & Pop Joints
Great episode! Really enjoyed listening about all mom and pop joints. The biscuit spot for me growing up was a gas station called Huckabys, IYKYK. Heard y’all talking about Jacks and we actually got one near me in a small town in GA!

Awesome show !!
Love the show guys!! I’ve been listening for four years now, y’all have definitely made me a better hunter. The only thing I wish y’all would do when interviewing other hunters is ask them how they climb trees and what systems they use. I’ve changed from ladder stands. Climbing stands to sticks and now I’m one sticking. I like to learn about new techniques and equipment. You never know, you might hear about a new technique or new equipment. Thanks and be safe.

Best hunting podcast out there
Because I hunt in western NC, most hunting podcasts don’t apply to my me. Not the case with the Southern Outdoorsmen. I found this podcast about six months ago and have since then deleted all other hunting related podcasts from my library. I really appreciate the guests and the relatability of Jacob and Andrew. It’s refreshing to hear guys who have day jobs and family obligations discuss deer hunting. Keep doing what your doing guys.

Love the show
Hey guys my names Kyle I’m new to Alabama, judging by where you guys talk I’m not too far from y’all. I moved from Florida and these hills are a big change but after listening to y’all for several years on terrain I was able to get on sign and get pictures of some great bucks on Public land, now to just put it all together and kill one. Keep up the great work! Oh and life hack on rattling antlers.. use 2 of the same side antlers and the Brows won’t be a problem anymore.

So much great content for southern hunters
I really enjoyed the Catman episode this week. It’s like y’all made that episode just for me and what I was going through on my hunting properties. I’ll be listening to it on repeat for a few days, as I have with several episodes. Thank you guys for providing this content that can’t be found anywhere else. Also, as a reminder, Epstein did not kill himself.

Started listening a couple months ago and I’m hooked
Recently moved back to Alabama after a little over a decade in the military. So happy to have a hunting podcast that’s based in my home state! I grew up hunting on clubs on Weyerhaeuser land close to Tuscaloosa, but I fell in love with public land when I was stationed in South Carolina. Planning on chasing deer in the Talladega National in Forest this season with my bow and 50 cal AirForce air rifle. Still early in the season, but the feed tree episodes and this weeks episode with Jason Redd are going to play a huge part in my season this year. Looking forward to finding lots of white oaks on north facing slopes in the coming weeks. Keep it up! Definitely my current favorite podcast. - Matt Denney

Finding legit feed trees
When I first found the feed tree I thought I was going to see nothing but turkey because the ground had been scratched and leaves had been moved around. Almost didn’t check my trail camera that’s how bad I didn’t want to be let down. But the droppings on the ground gave me hope it was deer! Glad to hear I’m not the only one that was has notices the ground being tore up when looking for and finding feed trees.

This is the podcast you're looking for
Full of info, this podcast will give you the knowledge to become a better hunter. Last year was my first year hunting (adult onset). Didn't know anything, and harvested an appropriate number of deer (none). Now I'm scouting feed trees, playing the wind, and saddle hunting. Took my first deer ever this evening on public land with my bow. Wouldn't have happened without the info learned here. Thanks.

Old School Wisdom
Do yourself a favor and listen to #510. Pastor Rick shares old school wisdom that squares with what my old sneaky mentors taught me plus a lot more. Deer do not have mystical powers and you don’t need to spend thousands on the latest gadget to be successful. Full of priceless tips and entertaining to boot. The podcast is always good, but this one stands out. Keep it up guys! Pick a spot 👊

Great Podcast
I came across the podcast around 8 months and really like their interview style. Can tell they’re excited about hunting and helping everyone improve their strategies. I have been able to apply strategies discussed and have better results. Can you point me to an episode for south/ central Florida?

Southern Gentlemen
My go to podcast for hunting. These fellas got what you need if you enjoy hunting and enjoy good conversation with fellow hunters. The guys are respectful Southerners that share the same passion for hunting as the listeners. Highly recommended!

I listen to this podcast going to work and coming home. Widest variety of speakers out of any other podcast. Thanks for what y’all do!

Great show
Best hunting podcast i’ve listened to. I’ve got 3 weeks off from work this year to hunt in my home state of Arkansas, very excited to use everything i’ve listened to this summer and apply it to my hunts and knowledge, the episode “Hardcore feed tree tactics with Rick Cope” was a FANTASTIC episode, i took a lot from that one!

I annoyingly just found this show on YouTube right as bow season is about to open for me in North Florida. I’ve been looking for southern centric hunting content for years, and much like my mature buck hunting, I’ve not been successful. Here’s to breaking both streaks this year. Thanks for the content, keep up the great work.

Wow
I have been listening for about 2 years. You guys have helped me rekindle my love for hunting and are helping me share that with my boys. Thank y’all for your what y’all do. After 2 years I thought your content couldn’t get any better. This episode with Rick was great. Had me in the edge of my seat just waiting for opening day. PS went straight home and bought some 100% Turpentine off the web. Can’t wait to hear all of Rick’s buddies next.

The best hunting podcast out there!
I have been listening since early 2020. Y’all have the best guest that are real killers. I look forward to every podcast so I can learn more. I have been hunting since I was five and I’m still learning. I killed a decent 8 last year after listening to the episode about hunting fresh sign. I don't get to hunt as much as I want but your podcast gives me the tools to make the most of the time I do get. Thank y’all for what you do and keep the killers coming.

Episode 510 with Rick Cope was the best episode of any deer hunting podcast that I’ve heard yet. So much simple knowledge. This will change the way I hunt. Thank you so much!

Dusting off my Dad’s teachings from your discussion topics
14:36 you guys have no idea how refreshing it is to hear ALL the conversations you have between you guys and your guests!!!! I have a lot of catching up and episodes to listen too. I’m 49 years old and grew up hunting everything with my dad at a camp he started in the 70s. After he passed, hunting that area hasn’t been the same. I am 3-years into my own 180 acre lease with potential purchase possible. Im going back to my hunting roots and tactics which line up with many topics you discuss. Which is helping me tremendously by sparking memories and tactics I had forgotten over the years…. I am more excited now than I have in many years…. My 18 year old daughter is even seeing my excitement…. She has hunted with me her entire life and she has been hooked since harvesting her first deer at age 7….. please keep doing what you’re doing and never change. If you ever want to come to south Mississippi (walthall County near Jayess)…. Give us a call anytime!!!! Hopefully I’ll be able to share a listener success harvest from my daughter this coming year using information I gained in the short time of Lisandro following you various channel formats!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Hooked on Phonics for Deer Hunting
Absolutely love this podcast! I’ve listened to all or almost all of the 500+ episodes with these guys. I feel like I have learned so much about hunting along side of these guys. The questions they ask these extremely successful hunters down here in the south leaves me with barely any questions at all. If you still have questions about something, simply reach out to them and they are great, down to earth guys that will help in any way. From hunting terrain features, scent control, hunting thermals/winds, bedding, feed trees and so much more this podcast will make you more educated in the woods. If you have just a little bit of luck, I’m which I don’t have, you will most definitely be more successful. Thank you guys for all you do for us southerners and even making a career change to help educate us southerners learn how to chase that white tail! Happy Hunting and ROLLTIDE!!

Most relatable podcast ever
I’ve been a listener for about a year now and this has become my favorite hunting podcast. I’ve listened to just about all the popular deer hunting podcasts and this podcast is by far the most relatable. I live in eastern Virginia, and 95% of what I hunt is flat as a pancake pine stands, cut overs, and ag fields. It’s refreshing to hear a hunting podcast not talking about specific buck bedding, hill country, and other mostly un-relatable things for someone who hunts habitat like my friends and I do here in eastern VA. It’s also awesome to hear someone talk about hunting around the pressure of surrounding dog clubs, as that is something we deal with heavily in my area. As soon as I came across this podcast I shared it with my whole deer hunting friend group because I was so astonished to find folks like y’all. I think you guys are extremely well articulated interviewers and just down right entertaining. Keep up the great work!!

Can’t stop listening
Long time listener from Mississippi. This podcast is what pulls me through the work week every week. It’s the perfect fuel for my unhealthy obsession with chasing these whitetail. Every episode is loaded with useful information. There’s always something to learn. Keep up the good work guys. Also, bring back the Killa Dilla so we can get lost in the rabbit hole again😂

Urban Monkey Hunt
Can you guys find out from Pablo if the urban monkey hunt in Costa Rica is a draw permit or if it’s over the counter? Costa Rica is technically still Southern……….. Love all the episodes guys. Good luck this season!

High quality content!
🙌 Congrats on 500. TSO is a great product and one I enjoy listening too regularly. I have learned a ton and am better equipped at connecting the dots in the Deer and Turkey woods. I greatly appreciate all your hard work and I’ve witnessed the growth in you guys the past couple years. Keep pumping out great content and I’ll keep supporting and listening! Btw, when can we get a “Stay Southern” t-shirt?

Love it and learning 1 podcast at a time
This podcast is absolutely amazing and everything a southern hunter needs in his or her life; whether they are just getting started or have been hunting for years. I enjoy listening to Jacob catch the Deer spirit every podcast when he hears some good tactics or anything that he can apply to getting a nice buck down in the fall. This man Jacob sounds like a deacon in a southern baptist church after hearing the pastor say “He didn’t have to do it but He did!” 😂😂😂

Love the podcast
Love the podcast and listen weekly. It’s great to hear from southern hunters since so many podcast seems geared to the midwestern hunters. Nothing wrong with that but it’s not the same tactics here. What’s green to grain 😂😂 That Jacob knows he can talk fast too 😀

Mississippi wonder lust
I’m on my way down physically but this podcast that I discovered last week has my 56 year old mind churning. Thank you for the fantastic content, finally a southeast take on this passion of ours. I’m teaching my 15 year old the best I can and with a show like this he will be far more successful than I have been. See y’all in the woods.

Best pod I’ve found
These guys are doing a wonderful job of covering the whole spectrum of deer and turkey hunting . The guests are real hunters - successful hunters - not gear promoting shills for this or that . World of tips to utilize and learn from… what a treasure the archives are for any hunter looming to expand their game !!

East Texas stump jumper
I’m a long time listener from south East Texas. Have been on the train since episode 100. Best podcast that pertains to what every southerner hunts from swamps to hill country. Keep up the good work and I’m ready for season to get here and pick all my gear back up like a “good day of yard saleing”.

Fired up to get in the woods!
Y’all get your listeners fired up to get in the woods! I’ve spent every 2.5 hour drive to and from our hunting camp in Alabama listening to the Southern Outdoorsman podcast… and I know I’m not the only one to fall asleep in bed listening to it at night either. Haha. I picked up a bow and started hunting about 3 years ago so I’m pretty green in most people’s book, but I can’t begin to tell you how many little things I’ve learned listening to your podcast. Always entertaining and very informative. My first two seasons were jam packed with a crazy learning curve, a couple of harvested deer (that was overwhelmingly satisfying) and a few heartbreak opportunities on some beautiful big bucks. This past season I was fortunate to get my first rack buck the last week of the season. It’s a moment I’ll never forget and I can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned from personal experience and y’all’s podcast to this season. Keep up the awesome work!! Jeff

No other hunting podcast even comes close
Been a listener for 3 years now, and have listened to every episode available. Several of them 3 & 4 times. Since I changed career paths allowing me more time in the woods during fall & Winter coupled with tactics from this podcast my success rate has dramatically increased. This podcast has no doubt been a huge contribution to my recent year’s success. The guest tips have helped me harvest 6 bucks in 3 seasons and put me in position of several encounters with other mature deer. If you call yourself an avid hunter but are not listening to this podcast, then you better hope the other hunters in your club/lease or others hunting the same public grounds aren’t either. Jacob and Andrew are able to find some of the best and sometimes overlooked guests out of their respective areas of the country, and if you listen close there will always be a tactic to add to your arsenal. I am Looking forward to content as we creep closer to season here in AL. Keep up the amazing work!

Fits the Southern Hunter
Being from South Carolina a lot of the hunting industry and content doesn’t always translate to how I hunt. This podcast is a great platform to hear from other guys who hunt the south and have success at harvesting mature bucks on private and public lands.

South Louisiana loves it
By far my favorite podcast. I love and hunt the swamps of Louisiana and I still take away some thing now and then. But the audio is loud voices crisp. Allot of other podcast are muffled and annoying to listen to because you can’t hear it. Great job guys. More swamp stories. Only topo we have are ant hills lol

First and last podcast!
This was the first hunting podcast I ever listened to nearly 4 years ago and it’s the last one I will ever need! It has definitely played a huge role in helping me to continue to improve and effectively hunt these elusive bucks here in East Texas. Keep up the great work boys and see you in Chattanooga!

Most Relatable Podcast
This is hands down the best podcast for the hunting public. The guests share a lifetime of knowledge and vast array of tactics. Whether you are just beginning to hunt or have hunted a lifetime, this podcast is for you. I listen most everyday. It’s informative, entertaining and funny.

Great show as always!
Keep it up great content! And why has Andrew been holding on GIS mapping I’m going to need a “deep dive “ about GIS and Lidar for E-scouting for the most recent imagery because I just got done looking at the county’s GIS satellite imagery for a solid 2 hours of the WMA I hunt.
