A little snobby
A little snobby for their coverage of the scores but overall some good discussions

Just talking
It’s little bit helpful to know about new film score trends through this podcast series as a composer, but I wish they talk about music itself more with some knowledgeable musician and musicologist hosts. It seems they are just journalists or gossipers. It was hard to listen their talking so long, so I had to scroll aside until I find something interesting story and music comes up. You guys should check out another film score podcast called <Art of the Score>. These Aussies made incredibly great film score podcast series.

Solid
My favorite podcast devoted towards discussing what makes a film breathe with music. Love listening to Chris & Erik break down the latest news/trends/history of film scores and why they and audiences love them so much. Do yourself a favor and listen to them.

blah
This is a pretty terrible podcast, the hosts barely know anything about film scores and their taste is terrible. Brings nothing to the conversation

Soundcast Stereo is a blast for film score fans
Soundcast Stereo is a really entertaining and engaging show. Hosted by Christopher Coleman and Erik Woods, you are provided with an hour (or more) discussion on a topic related to film music. These two know their topic very well and provide lively and entertaining discussions. It is easy to recommend this show to any fans of film music. Looking forward to hearing what these two gents discuss next!

Film score fun
A diverse cast of film, TV, and game score fans assemble to discuss the latest releases. The special interview episodes are fun as well. Great show.

Insufferable Host
First off, what a great thing it is to have a podcast dedicated to film music. Now the bad news, the host is a pompous insufferable *** who constantly sighs into the mic when one of his guests disagrees with him and says "yes" repeatedly into the mic when someone agrees with him. It's like being a rude host at a party. And less second rate film reviews and more talking about the music itself

Great Podcast - Thank you!
I just want to thank Christopher Coleman and the crew for an excellent film music podcast. I stumbled across this website and podcast while searching for film score reviews of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I listened to that podcast and the one done a year before on An Unexpected Journey. Everyone had intelligent comments, and guest Doug Adams was fun to hear. The discussions improved my opinion of those two recent scores by Howard Shore. Since then I am getting caught up on the other podcasts. Thank you for the great discussions. Your love of film music comes across in every podcast!

Perfect for film music fans
I've been listening to film score's for around a decade or so, (In other words I'm somewhat new but know a thing or two) And while I knew others listen to film music, I've never gotten to meet any. So this is the first place I got to hear others with a shared love of music from Film, Video games, and TV. Like that of James Newton Howard, John Powell, Murray Gold And of course John Williams & Howard Shore. And While I have listened to other podcasts about film music this is by far the best I have heard (By my personal opinion) So if you have ever hummed a main theme from a movie while still leaving the theater, Gotten goose bumps when you hear the main theme to Star Wars, Get chills when you hear music from Lord of the Rings. I strongly suggest you give "The Soundcast" a try. Their light hearted and a lot of fun to listen to. They have open my eyes to many artists and albums whom I can not imagine living without.

Fantastic!
I started listening to this podcast about 6 months ago, and plowed through all the back episodes voraciously! Truly a fantastic show. Obviously it comes within a certain territory, but if you're a soundtrack geek, then this is an absolute must-listen. A great group of hosts, every show is a blast. My only suggestions: more episodes, much longer, don't cut! Thanks guys!

Good discussions of film scores
I discovered this podcast pretty recently and have listened to some good discussions. Though I don't always agree with everyone on some point, especially in tastes of films, the discussion is always enjoyable and informative, especially for an avid film music lover and future musicologist like me!

Great Movie Score Podcast!
If you're into listening to the orchestrial scores from film, TV, or video games, or just curious about its seduction to the ears, this is the podcast for you. Listen to fellow "soundtrack geniuses" discuss the scores they may be currently listening to, sidetrack discussions from the scores most looking forward to during a season to love/hate discussions regarding the score to "Hanna" and "The Social Network". You may just discover a hidden gem or two that you may never have listened to otherwise. The interviews with working composers are always in-depth, informative and entertaining. A solid podcast for musicians and for those that just like listening.

A Good Listen
I should have started listening to this podcast when it first started. The website from which it stems has helped me over the years when I just wanted something new to listen to. The interviews presented here help to give me an insight into how the composer thought or felt when scoring their work.

Awesome Podcast
I always love listening to the interviews with the different composers. Please keep this up!

A bit snobbish at times
I like this podcast. I really do. I've found some freat new film music to listen to because of it, and I've found it to be an incredible resource. However, I also find their obvious disdain for the horror genre to be incredibly off-putting. Everything from ignoring a composer's horror work when talking about that composer's filmography to completely dismissing horror scores has happened on this show, and I find that terribly disappointing. While it's true that some horror scores can be written off as "thunder and ketchup" pieces of music, there are many truly grand horror film scores as well and it's a shame that a prejudice against a solid film genre prevents this show from exploring music that would diversify this show's listener-base and earning a higher than 3-star review. (To illustrate my point, listen to a recent show in which Stephen Jablonsky is mentioned and his filmography. No one mentions his horror work. The same can be said of Tyler Bates. It's unfortunate.)

Great Podcast
Hey Chris I've been listening to all of your podcasts and I really appreciate all the interviews and roundtable discussions you've had on the show. They were very informative, insightful and entertaining. Keep it up, and I'll keep checking back. BTW, I love your Tracksounds website as well. One of most well designed soundtrack review site on the web.
