So many people are obsessed with wanting branding and big labels all over them. They are proud to wear big labels and look to only buy products that has a big name attached to it. Ask yourself why you look for such names and branding? Is it quality, it is to be accepted or respected through seeming financially well off? Are you doing it to feel you belong in a category or financial class? More often than not, it is to impress others. What kind of life can you live trying to impress others or to live by how you want others to see you? Isn’t it more important to see how you see yourself?

When younger I used to admire and desire big sports labels which I couldn’t afford, so being the creative arty person I was, I learned to embroider so I could stitch the Nike and other logos onto my plain tops. One day I questioned myself, what value is this giving me? Wasting my time stitching a brand that creates no value. Instead I’m only promoting the brand by wearing it and I get nothing back in advertising, unlike celebrities. That was the last time I looked for branding and another chain of control was broken. Break away the controls of societies expectations and wanting to please others to free yourself of unhappiness.
