Recently started listening and this started out as a pretty good little show and it just got better. The guests are great and they talk about real issues. These are guys you’d want in your section. Just want less sponsors and more episodes!

Getting out of the military and transitioning to civilian life is weird. Only vets know how it goes and the crazy thoughts and feelings we have. This podcast verbalized it for me, and the first couple of seasons hooked me. I love the take on mental health, following through with VA, how life after service is and a lot more. The way they give back to the community and represent the community is admirable. So tons to laugh at, plenty to cry at, but this is an amazing podcast and can help a ton too!!

The podcast has matured since season one. The topics are well researched and presented in a great format. Yet, Ait still maintains the dark humor that initially hooked us. Well done lads, cheers.

Initially the podcast was funny and decently constructed. After the RP left the show the content dropped off a bit. AJ is alright, Dan is okay. However it seems that status quo political talking points often march into the conversation with little or no actual knowledge of the situation. Sorry guys but I can’t support the show anymore

An awesome podcast for past, present, and future service members. It will make you laugh and cry. It gets me amped at the start of the day and helps me unwind when leaving work at the end of the day! Keep it up boys!

What does a puerto rican, a hoosier and a ww2 veteran bring you? The Smoke pit, they constantly show love for their fans and the Veteran community worldwide, They cover everything from stories to current world news, and they do so perfectly as least political and welcoming as possible, These patriots are motivating and squared away, and with the amount of guests from other branches, buisnesses, etc. you just cant beat it. They perfectly sum up the active duty lifestyle and always come in clutch with the jokes, these guys are down to earth and if you ever get to meet them, buy em a beer and some chicken wings, they’re definitely worth it.

This show is absolutely amazing. I’ve been listening since the very early days. And it’s only getting better and better. I’m currently stationed OCONUS and drive about an out to and from work daily. And your guys podcast helps kill that time. Y’all are doing great things for god and country!

Found this show after they only had a few episodes. These guys are great! Always fun hearing old stories like hanging with my vet buddies. Killer insight into real topics and issues also. A good listen if you’re military, a vet, or anybody else really. Love these guys, and will be listening for a long time from now!

After I left the Army, in my job interview the HR lady asked me “what is your dream job?” and I surprised her by saying “I’ve already done it”. One enlistment, Army Infantry, 3.5 years but I did it, I got to do my dream job (fighter pilot is pretty close but I can’t math at all). Now I sit behind a desk, and while I do enjoy most aspects of my job and I get paid well, I miss my days in the service. Now I throw The Smoke Pit on while I’m in my office and get all the good feels without having to sleeping in the dirt in the rain or get screamed at for walking on grass. 10/10

The Smoke Pit Podcast. If you’re prior military or a civilian trying to understand the military and its humor this is the best place to start. I’ve been an avid listener since November of 2018 and i continue to anticipate new episodes and enjoy every moment. This is a 5 star podcasts with 5 star hosts. Highly Recommended giving a listen!

A year ago, I came out of a long time relationship and I was under the weather about for a very very long time. Until, December 17th, 2019 I found you guys and your podcast COMPLETELY changed my life. Thank you for everything, Mike and Dan, from one Service Member (Navy OS) To another, you have saved my life!!

The smoke pit podcast reminds me of the conversations I would have over hookah, dip, rip its, wild tigers, Marlboros, midnight chow, strawberry pop tarts, in shower shoes, in makeshift doorways, on cots, in police stations, checkpoints, over the headset in the truck, and it makes me miss them, Chirstofferson, kohlhaas, doc, Meeks, all of them. Whatever mistakes I make now, atleast I had that, and any flashback to those conversations, helps. Thank you

Such a great podcast! It’s as if some one cream pied my ear holes.

Joe Rogan can make me aggressively exhale through my nose, but The Smoke Pit actually has me laughing out loud. The only reason I’ve ever paused it was because I was listening with headphones in the car and my fiancé started playing Country Roads on the speakers and I just had to sing along. You know how it is.

The episodes are always funny and get me through the stress of school. I often find myself grinning like an idiot as I walk around my schools campus because I just feel like I’m walking around with friends. I laugh with them and I feel at home. Their content is respectfully crude and their honest jabs at each other keep them all humble. I love to hear of their experiences and learn how to be a better person from them.

Keep it real out there and try not to get shot while you’re visiting Area 51 next time I’ll have a box of crayons for ya. 😂

Guys, Im gonna be real with you. Last week I was planning on killing myself because of everything I am currently going through. Devorce,Financial troubles ect. The day I was supposed to do it a Navy buddy of mine sent me your podcast. I stopped and listend and instantly fell in love and forgot about everything. Im being serious when saying you guys seriously saved a life last week. Please do not stop what you are doing. You guys are helping out the community more than you know. Worth a listen for sure. I’m not a veteran, but they give a lot of insight on the mindset of one as well as life in general. Definitely many moments of the “we were all thinking it but they went ahead and said it” which I always appreciate. Also, this podcast satisfies many aspects of the Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness so what else can you ask for?

Starting back over listening to the first podcast and going through all 13 b/c who wants to work and I cannot stop laughing! Thank you for your service Gents and please keep the episodes coming!

I’m not Military but I have enough brothers in the service to get at least half the jokes. This is an insanely hilarious podcast that is super chill and the hosts are hella funny. Just wish the episodes were longer! Keep on putting them out!

I embody this podcast more than any other. But the one complaint I have is it seems like the guys are sitting at least two or three feet from the mics and I’m constantly straining to hear what their saying.

Thanks for reminding me of life before now.
