Joel Macey is a life long Salt Laker who recently completed a Master degree in Gerontology at the University of Utah. Walaa Hmeida is an undergraduate student at the Utah State University who is in the final year of her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Jason Stout and his family recently fled Ukraine because of the Russian invasion. Jason and his family were living in Ukraine to be closer to his wife’s family, who are native Ukrainians. Initially, Jason wanted to stay in Ukraine and help with the war efforts but he realized his skills and abilities might be more useful in helping gather very needed supplies that he could help get directly to Ukrainians on the front lines of the war while keeping his wife and family safe here in Utah. Jason is volunteering his time to assist the Responsibility Foundation in procuring and delivering basic frontline military supplies such as armored vests and helmets. Dr. Ana Antunes completed her PhD in Education at the University of Utah. Ana was born and raised in Brazil and then came to Utah as a student where she completed two Masters degrees before her PhD. Ana is a lifelong learner who hopes to help youth from diverse backgrounds get the educational opportunities they deserve.
