Today’s guest has experienced something that few can say they have ever experienced. In late June of 2018, Johann Harnisch was on a solo kayaking trip on the Kootenay River in British Columbia when he was attacked and mauled by a grizzly bear with her cubs. After sustaining injuries to his leg, head, and arm he was able to crawl back to his kayak, and after calling 911, he made his way 1.5 miles up the river before getting help. This is a story you don’t want to miss.

Today's guest is Scott Baseman. This episode is a sobering conversation, and it's one that must be had. As I was researching for this episode, I was shocked to discover that cellphone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year. As you hear in the episode today, any type of distraction while driving could change the course of someone's life forever. Scott's story is one of trial, but it is also one of forgiveness and of overcoming. We live in a society today where we all have these devices of distraction in our hands at all times, and it's so easy to think nothing of it when we pick up those devices while we are behind the wheel of a vehicle. This is a must-listen episode; Scott's story may even save someone's life.

In this episode, I have the privilege of sitting down with a man who has faced far more adversity than most people will ever face in their lifetime. Yet, through all of these circumstances, Denny Chipollini has never given himself the option to quit. Denny has reached many accomplishments in his life including 2X Olympic Torchbearer, motivational speaker, starting a non-profit, cannabis advocate, writer, amputee Marathon, and Triathlon runner. He is also a lover of health, fitness, and life. The episode is one that I hope will motivate. It may even help you get off the couch.

This is a fantastic episode about forgiveness. Rupelin Pichot had a horrific experience when her family was attacked in Ethiopia in the 90s. Her husband and her maid were killed and she was left with 3 kids and a small medical clinic to care for. This is an episode that won’t disappoint.
