14 - Steph White
Steph White, a well-decorated former NCAA and WNBA basketball player, head coach, and now broadcaster, joins The Sidelines. Her accolades are highlighted to kick off the interview, but perhaps most notable amongst her achievements as a player include being named National College Player of the Year and leading her Purdue Boilermakers to the National Championship in 1999. She was also selected to the women's USA Basketball roster in the 1997 Taipei Olympics, winning a silver medal. After a 5-year career in the WNBA with the Charlotte Sting and Indiana Fever, Steph transitioned to coaching - something that appeared to come very naturally to her. Through spending time coaching in both the NCAA and WNBA, she also naturally picked up analyst and broadcasting roles for a number of top-shelf sports networks. She joins the guys to not only relive some of her favorite moments from her playing and coaching career so far, but more importantly to discuss the "why" and deeper motivations behind her love for the game of basketball. Steph places a high value on balance, rest, and coaching the total, full-bodied athlete who can both put in the hard work, and enjoy the fruits of it.
