Thoughts on Motherhood
Motherhood has been a recurring topic on The Show About Nothing - but this time, it’s different. This time, it’s real. As one of the hosts is about to enter motherhood, we find ourselves standing right at the edge of a major life transition, asking: What happens now? In this episode, we explore our very millennial thoughts on motherhood - from expectations and fears to the realities we’re only just beginning to understand. We talk about: What it feels like to face “teenage pregnancy”… in your 30s The career paradox and what it means for identity The idea (or illusion?) of a 50/50 split between partners The intensity of stepping into motherhood And all the messy, honest thoughts about this life transition. This episode is for anyone thinking about motherhood, approaching it, or just curious about what goes on in our heads at this stage of life. The usefulness of useless knowledge
Breaking news: knowing random stuff is officially a personality trait. We’re at TSAN are publishing an ode to gloriously useless knowledge — the kind that won’t help you file taxes but will make you the most interesting person at brunch. From accidental Nobel-worthy discoveries to delightfully pointless facts (yes, sloths really do not poop on the trees where they live), we’re proving that curiosity > perfection. If you love fun facts, a chaotic mix of new information and connecting dots nobody else sees… this episode is your playground! Long Distance Relationships
Long-distance relationships sound romantic - until you’re living in different time zones, craving cuddles, and trying to resolve conflict over a laggy call. In this episode of The Show About Nothing, Belén opens up about navigating a brand-new long-distance relationship with a 12-hour time difference, while juggling adult life, emotions, and the question of “what are we actually doing?” Joined by her radio colleague Marie, the conversation dives into: - what really sucks about long-distance relationships - logic vs emotion when making big relationship decisions - changing love languages and communication styles - postponed conflicts and emotional frustration - logistics, uncertainty, travel costs & the “who moves where?” question - intimacy and sexual connection from afar (with research-backed insights) Honest, relatable, a little chaotic and very human — this episode is for anyone currently in a long-distance relationship, missing someone far away, or curious about how couples make love work across borders. How to Build a Home (When You Keep Changing)
In this warm and thoughtful episode, the TSAN crew dives into the idea of home — how it changes, multiplies and sometimes disappears altogether as we go through life. From the initial thrill of moving abroad to the nostalgia of sleeping in your childhood bedroom, we explore how shifting places can shift our sense of self at the same time. Can you have more than one home? Do your friends back home still get you? What happens when you imagine the “what if” versions of your life? How many alternative homes could you have built? As always included: laughter, reflection, a few existential detours... Marie & Belén talk about giving yourself grace through change, being kind to yourself in transition and embracing the constant evolution that life is about. Final cringe moment: at the end of the day, home isn’t just a place — it’s an ongoing process and you are the one shaping it. Aging in a Post-Modern World
In this episode, the TSAN crew gets into all things aging — from imagining ourselves at our grandparents’ age to questioning if we’ll ever really retire (or just become 80-year-old Uber Eats drivers 👀). We unpack how aging looks different for men and women, how pop culture shapes our fears about getting older (yes, including that billionaire getting blood transfusions from his kid), and whether money can actually buy youth — or just delay the inevitable. It’s equal parts humor, honesty, and “oh god, we’re getting older” energy - a conversation for anyone thinking about the future and trying to make peace with it. 🕰️ Hosts: Marie Heimburg and Belén Sabroso Ballesteros This is a podcast from K103 Gothenburg Studentradio

Abortion Rights through history
Welcome to another immersive experience into the minds of the very opinionated girls that make up The Show About Nothing! This episode was part of Musikhjälpen 2024, which was aiming to collect money to ensure women’s right to survive their pregnancy all over the world. Immediately, we thought about the importance to survive an unwanted pregnancy as well and we embarked on an episode where we discuss why defending the right to a safe abortion is of the utmost importance. During the show, we take a look at our own experience with access to abortion, the societal stigma women who decide to abort face, as well as the state of abortion rights in different countries. Judging by how the world looks a few months after this episode aired, it is as good a time as ever to have a listen and reflect. Enjoy!
