Joan Gibbs is a self described “grassland woman” who has spent her life learning about the natural environment and the role humans can play as custodians of the land.
Joan has inspired and shared her knowledge with hundreds of students over the years, creating a veritable army of conservationists who spread her teachings as they form communities and build careers.
Joan has had a long-standing role as Senior Lecturer at the University of South Australia and continues to dedicate her time to helping people to slow down and listen to the natural world around them.
