I feel as though we’re all sitting at the table with Ren and Lizzie for this deep dive into the material. These sisters are insightful and hilarious, with a delightful helping of obsessive. So fun.

The hosts have thoughtful insights and I appreciate how thorough their analysis is, including pointing out details I never noticed despite multiple rewatchesI Constructive criticism, I do recommend a tighter edit of the episodes, there’s a lot of repeated thoughts (Ren especially repeats herself numerous times, almost like a verbal tick) and at times they pause so long between speaking I think the episode has frozen. A little tinkering will make the episodes sing!

I have been listening since day one and a loyal listener. I look forward to each episode every week. Their analysis of Heated Rivalry has made me stay at the cottage for almost 8 months. I even re-listen to every episode again. I love their chemistry and make me laugh so much. (Tuna Melt Kisses…IYKYK)

I’m one episode in and *loving* this perspective. Also, please consult an autistic person! Shane cannot tolerate sock wrinkles for reasons! Reasons that are not unrelated to the fact that he supplies a perfectly literal answer to the question of what would happen if Ilya showed up at 1410 at 9:00. “I might answer” is not just smooth, it’s also the most straightforwardly literal answer possible.

This podcast is what I’ve been waiting for. You two are so thoughtful and I’m getting so much more out of the show. Thank you so much for these deep dives!

While I loved the books and the show- heated rivalry isn’t really the root of why I’m here…..oh who am I kidding….but I might listen to these 2 break down the phone book because it’s just funny intelligent and so well done

Love how deep they go on even micro-gestures between the characters, and the meanings behind the way they see one another. In episode three, they were so close to one point but glanced right past it. The empty seat at those meals when Ilya wasn’t there yet - “Ilya” is the Russian version of the name “Elijah.” The empty seat for Elijah, the empty seat for Ilya, there is a Biblical reference here.

Episode 2 18:00-20:30 — how dare you hurt me like that. I’m not okay. That wasn’t even a stab in the back it was a stab in the front. I was not prepared for the gut punch of that insight. Ps here from Instagram in my own HR fixation spiral. Feel free to do 60 minutes on 5 minute increments of the show as long as you want. I will be here for it.

I saw Ren (apologies if that’s too familiar) on insta. The in-depth episode breakdowns and the symbolisms, either being explained or revealed, was brilliant.
