Dr. Shann Ray Ferch of Gonzaga University's School of Leadership joins The Servant Marketer for Episode 1. He provides an intro to the Servant Leadership philosophy, and debunks myths about Servant Leadership, shares information about the origins of the philosophy, and covers the ten characteristics that differentiate Servant Leaders from other styles of leadership.

A former professional basketball player, Dr. Ferch is a multi-award winning poet and prose writer. His 2018 collection of stories American Masculine (Graywolf Press) was named a "3 Books Every Man Should Read" selection by Esquire Magazine, and won the American Book Award, the Bakeless Prize, and two High Plains Book Awards, for Best Story Collection and Best First Book. Much of his work focuses on leadership and forgiveness.
