In Episode 27 of the Scotch Podcast, Kaylin is joined my Ms Charlotte Levy, Henry Twelftree (Year 12) and Mr Liam Hay to talk about all of the excitement of the recent Scotch trip to France, where 27 of our Senior School students set off on an 18 day adventure, the first such trip to the region since pre-Covid in 2018!
The group spent the first five days at a French school in Cap d’Ail with visits to Nice, Cannes, Menton, Antibes, Èze, and even a walk into Monaco! There were two days in the beautiful town of Avignon, exploring this historic and lovely town and the wider region of Provence before spending a final week in the city of love and light – Paris!
The skills students gained from this trip stretch far beyond French-language skills; they have gained independence, problem-solving skills, resilience, leadership, care for others and perhaps most importantly – an experience that extends beyond their normal world and knowledge and appreciation of another country, culture, and way of living on the other side of the world!
