The Safety Zone is engaging conversations on all aspects of violence prevention from experts who have decades of experiencing in specialized law enforcement, U.S. Secret Service, FBI, Navy Seal Teams, corporate security, hostage negotiations and school security. Mike McCarty & Melinda Ronn are the hosts. Melinda has spent decades in communication, having started in the George W. Bush White House where she served as a liaison to churches, ministries and pastors in the U.S. She now works with numerous media outlets nationally such as Fox, CNN, CBN and numerous other media groups. Mike has decades of violence prevention experience that started as a violent crime detective in Nashville, TN and was part of a small team that developed the nation's largest largest law enforcement-based violence prevention program which immediately reduced the number of domestic homicides by 50%. Mike left Nashville and started providing training and consulting for organizations such as U.S. Department of Justice- Violence Against Women Office, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Homeland Security and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Today, Mike is the CEO of Safe Hiring Solutions which is a violence prevention, background screening, visitor management and threat assessment organization with more than 7,000 clients that include schools, churches, volunteer organizations and corporations.
