An antidote for current chaos!
This podcast is a balm for the soul…and the psyche. The conversations are vibrant, intelligent, yet thought-provoking as controversial viewpoints, Jungian psychology and spiritual studies mix for a fascinating soup of discovery and ‘uncovery’. John Price and his guests offer us scholarly viewpoints, holding up mirrors into which we now must look. So grateful!

Must listen if you love psychology, philosophy, religion and mysticism!
Podcasts like this are much needed today! With our cultures heavy emphasis on the material and rationalism, content like this can bring us back to a healthy equilibrium. It’s so cool to find a podcast that embraces the big questions and dives deep into interesting topics! Please don’t stop making and sharing these!

One of the best but...
This is seriously one of THE very best podcasts out there for Jungian thought, philosophy and deep spiritual questions however the interviewer insists on playing so much music (often rather jarring given the context of the interviews) and long rambling introductions that it’s almost 30 min before the actual interview begins. He seems to love music so much that it would be a better idea to have a separate podcast just for his personal music proclivities instead of indulging them within a context they don’t essentially belong. If you can skip through all that unnecessary introductory stuff, then you’ll find some extremely enlightening material.

Bad Poetry
I enjoyed most of your conversation with Jim Hollis. I was particularly hearted by his comment about bad poetry. I also enjoyed Jim's comments about Josef Maria Rilke. One dream I'll never forget was of a very well known poetess that dreamt of giving Rilke a manicure. Caring for the hands of Rilke. That made a huge impression on me. Particularly since I admired some of her poems so much. I have no facality or special gift for langauge. But i like to think a have a pretty good ear. I've found it nessessary to write bad poetry before i can get to a " keeper". I also like how Jim spoke of his appreciation for football. Poetry at The Oracle It's fun to watch the unselfish passing. To see so many Black People get together to celebrate special gifts. I love watching dribbling and work under the basket. It's wonderful to see Mothers and Wives that support these proud Black Men. I can't help but think about the Civil Rights Movement of 1960's. I can't help but think of Gwendolyn Brooks or Ernie Banks. I give thanks for being alive while watching these virtuoso's . Arguably the greatest athletes of our or anytime. So many emotions go through my body seeing a player go above the rim. Somehow I've been sleep walking through life. When suddenly Kevin Durant ( KD) fades away from 15 to 20 ft and hits nothing but net you can't forget you're alive. Jeffery J. Rahn 2108

This is a tremendous podcast! It explores complicated ideas in a winsome and digestable manner. I leave every episode intellectually stimulated, spiritually nourished and ethically inspired to act more consciously in the world. I am frequently dissapointed with the listening skills of very prominent podcasters. The content is often great, but I get the feeling that people are being talked "at" or constantly interrupted. John's training as a psychotherapist shines in every episode. He accomplishes the difficult feat of creating a space for the interviewee to speak without interruption while also strategically nudging the conversation along in ways that result in keeping the listener interested and wanting more. Check it out!

Speaking is Sacred
Thank you Dr Price for putting this out here. Your engagement during the interviews helps me to feel like I’m in the room, part of the conversation...and I actually was, once! Thanks for bringing your psychological conversations to topics of religion and our human experience!
