I really enjoy seeing how an ancient text or idea can be extrapolated out to a very relevant current topic without rushing to the “punchline”. I’m not always sure where the journey is going, but I’m often pleasantly surprised as it comes around full circle. A welcome change from the shallow thought that is so prevalent these days. Thank you!

Can’t express my gratitude that Mathias is sharing his research with the care and reverence of someone who abides in the Nordic story world as a living tradition, instead of a dead artifact to be examined and studied. We’re all very lucky in this community to have an academic and storyteller with the skill and nuance to force us to slow down and think deeper about how this stuff matters on an interrelational and cosmic level.

Mathias approaches each subject with thought and honesty. He genuinely cares about the modern Heathen and works to make our community better

I found it ironic that Mathias basically referred to Ben Shapiro as a white supremacies when he’s Orthodox Jew in Vikings and whiteness.

I was first introduced to Matthias Nordvig through the Nordic Mythology Podcast where he is able to very eloquently discuss and give insight into the mythology and history of the Scandinavian countries/world. This podcast was such a pleasure to listen to because in it he says everything that I have been feeling my entire life, I.e. respecting our planet, living symbiotically, returning to a lifestyle not unlike our forefathers.Not only can you trust the information that he’s sharing from an historical standpoint but you get to experience a well thought out and meaningful message to help guide you towards a more substantial and organic life. What a treat!!!

The messages in this podcast strike deep into my soul. Dr. Nordvig ties ancient wisdom through the ages and makes some incredible connections and conclusions. There is so much of value here already that I know I’ll have to give it a second listen. If you identify as Ásatrú, Norse Pagan, or Heathen, this is crucial listening. If you don’t, I hope the messages still resonate with you, because they are important, not just to us as individuals, but to us as a community of global, connected people.

Mathias is such a wealth of knowledge, and this new podcast is a true joy. You won’t regret giving it a listen.
