The End of an Era
Co-hosts Dan Bahl and Matt McAuliffe hit the mics for one more episode of The Roar before officially finishing their undergraduate careers at Quinnipiac. In the game, junior Monique Lee tied a women’s basketball program record, making 14 field goals in the game. Lee isn’t a stranger to setting records for the Bobcats, as she also had two of the top five rebounding performances in team history during her career. They talk about her successful junior season, her internship work at the University of Michigan Hospital, her research project that will be presented in NYC in April, and so much more! ——————— THIS WEEK IN BOBCATS HISTORY: February 3, 2017 The Bobcats tied their record for goals scored in an ECAC hockey game, beating Brown 9-0 at the Frank Perrotti Jr. Arena. It was the second season in a row that the Bobcats hung a nine-spot on an ECAC opponent, having beaten Union in February of the season before. In the game, Meghan Turner had a hat trick, Randi Marcon had two goals, and current Bobcat senior forward Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout, just a first year at the time, had two goals and an assist. In the game, freshman backup goaltender Jim White, playing in place of starter JC Wells that night, recorded the shutout. That clean slate was the first of his career, and would end up being the last.
