In this episode, students talk about our annual talent show that will be held in the RCS gym tomorrow 6/13 at 6:30 pm.  It's an awesome display of talent exhibited by our students.  Please join us as we celebrate our students at the Annual talent show.  There will be door prizes, 50/50 raffles, and concessions.  Get there early because parking will be at a minimum.

In this episode, scholars discuss the importance of academics in regards to becoming a student-athlete.  These scholars have tremendous insight.  I'm super proud of how they are able to convey their thoughts.  We have a talented bunch of students.  I can't wait to see where life takes them.

Gabe, a High Honor Roll 8th grader, gives his take on the first annual career day at RCS. Thank you to all that were involved. This was a fantastic event for our students. They were able to see a multitude of careers on display.

At RCS we are grateful for the opportunity to meet the needs of our students.  In ensuring that they have a world class education, there are certain aspects of our programming that we knew needed an upgrade.  One of those areas was our social work team.  We were receiving an influx of disciplinary referrals for things that didn't have anything to do with school discipline.  It is with that growth mindset that we made the decision to invest in the mental health and development of our students.  In this episode, the RCS Social Work team talks candidly about Social Work; the stigmas, and the joy of the work.

In this episode, Michayla talks about her kindergarten experience so far.  As parents, we were worried about her adjustment to kindergarten,  It's great to know that she thinks so highly of her RCS teachers and classmates.  It helps us to know we made the right choice for our child.

In this episode, we continue to give students a voice. This time we tap into the student transfer process by obtaining feedback from the students. Adults need to listen to students more, and we are listening.

In this episode, a couple of our RCS 7th Graders, JJ & SC talk about their takeaways from the 2019 NY State ELA test.  These students talk directly to the test makers about how to make standardized testing passages relatable to all student.  They also talk about how state testing is a necessary evil whose ends justify the means.
