In short this podcast features - two lovely, incredibly sweet, empathic women - librarians to exact - talking about a topic that they are currently enthralled by. Usually a topic they want to learn more about - pulling research from mostly books. They also offer up some recommend personal reads.

I loved the factual content, but it’s becoming more frequent that political views are presented as facts. Also, during serious topics (Duggars, Titanic, etc), too much joking and weird voices. I expected more serious presentation of such topics when educating.

One of my favorite podcasts! The banter between the hosts is delightful, my TBR stack is growing bigger and bigger with each listen, and I’m learning about so many bewitching topics!

Wow. You’re voices and shrieking over yourselves is painfully annoying. I wanted to like this, but it lacks true humor making it confusing as to why the hosts are laughing at each other. It is far from entertaining.

I also was told about this pod from the Unsinkable Podcast. When there was the Titanic crossover episode I was hooked! I am a high school history teacher and I’ve actually let the kids listen to a few episodes as a Friday treat. (I got one of my kids hooked on podcasts because of you!) Could you pretty, pretty please do an episode on the six wives of Henry the VIII?! I love the Six musical!

Five stars for content. I recommend this to fans of oldschool You’re Wrong About. Unfortunately, I can’t listen: one of the hosts has a very high and sharp voice that, no matter how low I turn my volume down, literally hurts my ears. I don’t blame people for the sound of their natural voices, but I wonder if increased audio editing could help smooth out spikes because it is not usual for me to feel actual pain while listening to a podcast. I will try a second episode to see if it’s better—I hope so, because I really appreciate a well-researched discussion podcast on varied interesting topics.

The information you present is great. The podcast could be even greater if you edit out all of the giggling and “aww” and other superfluous chatter.

Your wide range of topics are so well researched! I learn something new each episode. I really enjoy this podcast and highly recommend it to all!!

Feels like chatting with friends!! Even updating my review to add that lately I’ve found it so freaking hard to find podcasts that actually do and document their research. Pods are a fun world but sadly a world in which many people are making money off of poorly-conducted internet research. These ladies do it right and well. So, truly, a delight!

I just discovered your podcast, and am excited to binge listen - there are so many cool topics. I too am a reference librarian, and I love hearing your book recommendations and your deep dives into each subject. It’s sort of like My Favorite Murder, but with research nerds and less murder, in the best way!

Just found your pod yesterday while going through a Pocahontas rabbit hole. Wasn't sure if I liked it because I usually don't stick with the chattier shows but by the end I was hooked!! Perfect combination of humor but not too many tangents! I couldn't wait to listen to the next episode. Starting Salem right now. As I was scrolling through the episodes I kept getting more and more excited because every topic were things I'm interested in. Stumbling upon you guys was a true gift. And as a future English teacher I am obsessed with all of your references. Have you done a Roanoke episode yet? Can't wait to keep listening!

I love this podcast, I look forward to it every week! Hailee and Katie cover such a variety of topics- and somehow its everything I’m interested in too! Everything is really well researched, yet still feels like your listening to one of your best friends tell you about something interesting. I love how they end every topic with book recommendations,Librarians live for a good booklist. 😉🥰

I love this podcast! Super intersting episodes, and I really enjoy the format. A better sounding, more intresting female version of "stuff you should know" where you don't feel talked down to! A great addition to my daily commute.

Love listening to these two! I especially was touched by a reference Katie made about her grandfather also known as Bubba. It warmed my heart that she remembered and shared this story. He loved his Katie!

Katie and Hailee are so fun to listen to and the topics so far have been super interesting. Who knew librarians could be so interesting? Nerds, that’s who. And being a need myself, I love this show.

Hailee & Katie have a good balance of organized thought and friendly banter. I love that they have not locked themselves into only discussing summaries of books, but that they're still inviting listeners to read about the topics.

It’s a great listen. Would throughly recommend to anyone who looking for an eclectic list of topics.
