So Good!!!
The questions are so wonderfully thoughtful and different than an average interview. The conversation is fluid…entertaining and lighthearted yet insightful. Love it ! Keep up the great work Yvonne & crew

Grating
Unfortunately the female hosts voice is grating. Turns me off.

Love the podcast
It’s really difficult to get over yvonne’s valley girl up talk but she is intelligent…Just wish someone would talk to her about the cadence of her speech pattern. I love Mark no problems there

Hosts chatting
I miss the hosts no longer chatting after interviews with the new executive producer. Otherwise ALL GREAT INTERVIEWS. TYVM

Host too green???
I was delighted to see the Hannah Waddingham episode advertised on a different podcast I typically listen to. I love Ted Lasso and particularly this actress. However, I cringed every time the interviewer asked a question. Perhaps she is inexperienced or maybe she was too nervous, but I finally got to the point where I couldn’t listen anymore. I have zero journalism in my background and yet I think I could have come up with better questions. What a waste of an opportunity to interview Ms. Waddingham.

Voices
I agree with the voice quality criticism. For me it’s hard to take the whiny, baby voice of one of these hosts seriously. Very irritating.

More stars, less Glenn and Company, please.
It’s best when Yvonne Villarreal is talking to the stars. And that’s a great podcast. Everything else is clutter.

Content is good, but...
The voices of the hosts are not my favorites, and in the world of podcasts and radio the sound of those speaking is what ultimately keeps me listening. Just being honest.

My favorite podcast
This is my favorite podcast at the moment. The conversation is always interesting and thoughtful, and I always come away feeling like I have a better understanding on what is going on in film at the moment. They have a great mix of pop culture discussion and “deep cuts” which make for a well-balanced and well-paced presentation. I enjoy all of the hosts, who bring such varied perspectives on the cenimatic issues of the day.

Replace Mary please!
Mary is an annoying, horrible female tv “critic.” She brings nothing to the conversation aside from her vitriol. The male critics (Mark, Glen and Justin) bring so much knowledge and insightfulness. I could listen to them all day. Intelligent and thoughtful criticism on their part. Mary is giving females a bad rap with the drivel that comes out of her mouth. Are there no witty and smart female journalists in Los Angeles available that can replace her? Anne Thompson, Joyce Eng and Perri Nemiroff blow her out of the water with their film analysis. Can they be invited on the podcast instead?

Without Justin Chang this is garbage
The rest of the folks mostly babble and digress without offering any insights.

The Avengers: Infinity War Review
It doesn’t bother me when people dislike something I like; my taste in movies run towards the middle. I do take issue when people are dismissive about things I care about. In the podcast for the latest Avengers entry, the panel was fine except for the person who had only seen Black Panther because of its cultural significance. I appreciate that, but I didn’t appreciate that person’s snarky, dismissive comments about these pop cultural icons that I’ve cared about for 40 years. It may be Ragnawhatever to him, but it’s Thor and Hulk from my youth to me. It may seem like Wakanda was given short shrift to him, but this amazing movie balanced the screen time across multiple franchises in the MCU. Personally, I would have like more Cap and Okoye, but that wasn’t the movie. And why would anyone want to watch a movie series about superheroes where half of them are dead at the end of five hours? This isn’t an Ingmar Bergman movie and thank heaven for that. Personally, I think to get most of them back, one of the originals—probably Cap—will sacrifice himself. I think the stakes are high enough and the movie was enjoyable. Instead of being amazed by the upset people around you in the theater, recognize how people have identified with these characters for the 10 years of the MCU and 56 years of comic book storytelling. I was emotional watching the heroes of my youth in one movie played by an unbelievable cast. It was an amazing movie that never stopped thrilling and surprising me. Listening to this podcast became infuriating at the end.

Haven't listened yet but Justin Chang was nice to me once, so here's me returning the kindness (and now I'll actually listen)!
