Slavery has existed everywhere since the beginning of time.  The anomaly in human history is not slavery, but the ideas and political systems that uphold individual freedom - movements which should be celebrated.  The willful disregard of the actual history of slavery throughout the world and, in particular, the fact that slavery was endemic throughout the African continent for over a thousand years, is an attempt to denigrate the American Founders and to shame, disarm, and ripen the culture for Marxist revolution.
